Goddamn, these tracks are next-level. Record is going to slay. This is like a real new direction for them, right? Does anything in their discography sound like these new songs or is it all substantially heavier?
their earlier stuff is substantially cheesier he's a much better vocalist and especially lyricist now
yeah I just found out on saturday that my dad's cancer is back (he'll be fine though!) so this track hit me extra hard. it's a direct continuation of their work on Is Survived By. Except like twice as good. To be fair, he sings a little now, so that's different. :)
To the Beat was great at that moment of time. I like how these songs were move of a continuation/offshoot of previous album instead of a complete change.
I still enjoy that album but the band has grown so much. I jam to Parting the Sea a lot. Might be my favorite record.
I really only listen to ISB anymore, but everything is still pretty tight. That record and these two singles are just on a different level though
This new ish 2/2. Glad they kept the heavy but are allowing things to breathe...well breathe as much as possible on a sub 3 minute song. Gorgeous
the new song made me feel a certain way TA is definiteley one of the most powerful, sincere and intellegent bands active today - such a unique, moving voice
Challenge: When this record comes out, listen to it and Keep You back to back and try not to shed a tear.
Dude I can't get through Ripple Water Shine without tearing up. Keep You came at almost exactly the midpoint between both my grandfather's passing. Not sure how I could do both without being a wreck.
Sorry to hear that, bud. The first time I listened to keep you it was a cold, rainy day and all I could do after was lay in bed and stare at the ceiling for the next few hours. Just a emotionally tiring record, I expect similar feelings when this one comes out.
Yeah that was great. In 2014 I had Keep You, 2015 I had Dealer, and now it's looking like Stage Four will be there for 2016.
ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i mean i thought the first track wasn't ridiculously cheesy like five years ago....
