I'm absolutely speechless after my first listen. This record is going to stick with me for years. -I'm so glad I waited to listen until I had the lyrics in front of me. -I texted my mom by track 4 to see when my son and I could visit next -Skyscraper would be such a good ending to their set. The end of it would be incredible live, I feel like. I love the National influence on it. -The voicemail at the end was absolutely gut wrenching
Yes. Listened to Sprained Ankle the last month because of excited everyone was for her being on this, and am glad. She's great.
So I've spent my morning listening to Stage Four, Is Survived By, The Lack Long After, Keep You, Wildlife, The Rooms Of The House, Pneuma, and Moving Mountains S/T (and Harmlessness but thats beside the point). Those albums by those four bands are the best this scene has to offer in recent memory. Absolutely phenomenal. Such an emotional journey I took with those albums today. Just stunningly beautiful and diverse and passionate. To focus on this album, its easily my favorite Touche release and Skyscraper or New Halloween are my favorite songs. Just incredible. Also loved the writeups by @Drew Beringer and @Aj LaGambina as well as everyones posts in here detailing their love and attachment to this album. such a wonderful thing to read and experience. Music is so fucking rad.
i listened to it last night its wonderful but I prefer the other albums mentioned to it. Honestly I prefer Harmlessness over it as well. but Dealer is still amazing i hope we're still friends
Dealer was my number 2 of last year. Such an amazing album. It completed my holy trinity of "scene" albums: Dealer, Keep You, Moving Mountains
