Listened to regularly: Parting Stage 4 Lament Never got into: Dead Horse ISB Spiral I know I'm crazy, but I'm trying!
PTSBB hit me like a nuclear bomb in my early 20s. They had that Thursday raw lyrical intensity that struck a nerve. Still do obviously.
stage four lament is survived by spiral in a straight line parting the sea between brightness and me to the beat of a dead horse
So tonight was the first time I was able to find joy in Stage Four live when it ruined me a decade ago. Even while Chicago hardcore grieves - it felt so good to be with so many people feeling the same way.
I had heavy tears flowing throughout the album play back by the soundboard. Loved the shoutouts to Bo. Playing What Sarah Said as an intro was a phenomenal choice.
I was near you behind the board. The into was perfect. my partner had asked me a few times if this last week was going to make it easier or harder for me. I said “neither but now it’s not this personal thing for me. We all are going to grieve together.” I do not think I would have enjoyed tonight as much if I did not have my moment of closure two years ago when TA played on my grandmother’s birthday.
Doors were at 6 First opener was 7-7:30 Second opener was 7:45-8:15 Touche Amore was 8:30-10 but wrapped up early
Tonight in Brooklyn was really special. That was my first time seeing them. I rushed the stage during benediction and launched myself in the crowd during the chorus. Unreal.
For anyone interested, there's a pretty good fan video on YouTube of the whole set last night. I'm the tall guy jumping right after the 17:40 minute mark, haha
