39er Gang rise up! I’m glad to have stoked the thread a little with admitting I don’t know their earlier material. Psyched to dive in today!
I’m going in reverse chronological order for my pre-Stage Four discography journey. Jammed Is Survived By twice while making dinner tonight. So good! Definitely a lot more dramatic and dynamic than I imagined because whenever I’ve seen them play older material live that I don’t know, it always seemed more chaotic. Loved the Midwest emo influence on “Non-Fiction” and the title track is already an all-timer from this band for me.
Yeah that album has some really great moments. I think the last half of the album is especially memorable, starting with Harbor. Kerosene is probably the only one intend to be meh about, but the wham bam combo of Blue Angels and Social Caterpillar lead off an extremely well done combo. PTSBBAM is easily my favorite album so I'm excited to see your impressions on that. There was only a two year wait between albums but it seems like it was one month apart. Such memorable stuff await!
Found a Black Friday deal on a slightly damaged copy of this and I get it tomorrow. Stoked to add to the discography. Only need a couple more pieces to complete it but I don’t want to spend a million dollars on a 7” ‘
The remaining pieces to complete the Discog are: Live at WERS 7” Limelight Flexi Reminders Flexi Live at BBC Vol 3 Circa Survive split 7” Then after that is just speciality version like the books, fest variants and such, but those aren’t necessary
