I like Reminders a lot but not more than most PUP songs

 

I completely agree with ya.

I’m not even that big of a Pup fan but I respectfully disagree. “Reservoir”, “Never Try”, “See You At Your Funeral”, and “Bloody Mary, Kate, and Ashley” are all better tracks.

 

just exist through kerosene is pretty much a perfect run. i get jeremy having different feelings about the process of making it, but damn

 

They always have great opening tracks

 

I will only say that if you check out their first record - make sure it’s Dead Horse X and not their original recording since it’s pretty rough... which makes sense since it was done for like $250 lol

Dead Horse X is fantastic though!

 

I much prefer the original Dead Horse tbh

 

i generally prefer the old recordings to new ones, but Dead Horse X is really, really, really good

 

for me they exist side by side now, the original has parts i absolutely love, but X sounds so much better production wise

 

Wanted to chime in real quick to say thanks to Drew and Chorus FM for supporting us as much as they do. Skimming through the discourse has been enjoyable on here leading up to the record. Always gives a clear view of things going forward when it comes to set lists, etc. Thanks to everyone who has checked it out so far. Jeremy

I'm so fucking stoked about the release show Monday night/Tuesday morning, Jeremy - I hope it's as much of a thrill for all of you as it will be for us. Could you possibly confirm if the /300 record release variant will be available to overseas buyers too? I'm scooping it up if at all possible but am unsure if it's an option at the moment! thanks for the album man. not sure you'll see this, but are you and/or the rest of the band members fans of envy? there are some parts on here that feel so much like envy and it rips. i loooooove the production on this by the way.

 

If I was in a successful band I would show up on forums to dunk on haters, so kudos to Jeremy for not being petty like me

time to fire up stage four... this will be interesting. it and hospice are pretty impossible for me to get all the way through anymore. we’ll see how far i make it.

 

Massive. One of our earliest influences. Toured the US and Japan with them as well. Dead Sinking Story forever.

 

Envy has a history of doing splits. Make this happen.

 

To me, Reminders is a perfect dose of something resembling optimism. I loved it when it came out, and I actually think it works even better on record. It's moving and comforting in a way different than most of their songs.

 

Reminders is a knockout imo, I'm nodding my head and bouncing around when it's on. I love that they made a song like that.

 

@jeremyxbolm Hey man, amazing record. You guys killed it. Was it always intentional to sing "so I lament, then I forget" and "I'll be your host against my will" with the same melody?

 

this explains why I mixed these two up today! I didn't even notice!
