Wouldn't be surprised if they did one tour after the new album and then maynard said peace from tool

 

I could see that happening, but nothing official - no announcement. They'll just stop and keep fans on the internet speculating forever.

 

I read yesterday that they will be announcing tour dates throughout next week.

Unfortunately I can't find the tour dates in full. I heard about it on the radio, and there's no listing or tickets or any other dates yet. If I see something, I'll absolutely share

At this point, I would need new material before I spend all that time and effort going to see them live.

 

Really limited dates that they're hyping up makes me wonder though. They could be showcasing some new stuff

 

Have you seen them live before? If so, that's understandable. If not, then I don't understand. I haven't seen them yet, will be seeing them at boston calling, and material from their current albums alone is enough for me

Yeah of course. I wouldn't write off seeing Tool love without seeing them.

 

How good are they live?

 

The actual instrumentation is phenomenal. Maynard does a great job, though I would like to hear a little more emotion and range from his vocals. But I understand he has to pace himself. Also, Maynard almost always stand behind a curtain for the entire act so you don't ever see him, but usually a shadow.
