Update from Justin. The new album is nowhere near finished. Tool's Justin Chancellor Shares A Proper Update On New Album Status | Theprp.com – Metal And Hardcore News Plus Reviews And More
It sounds like developing this new Tool album is not very high on their priority list. And that's okay. But I'm curious as what kind of lawsuits they've been dealing with.
I like both, it's just that 13S was p big in my life also, I've seen Tool live, now I want to catch APC that said, I am also looking fwd to a new Tool album... whenever, if ever, in words of The World Is...
Personally, I'm blown away by both. I respect what Tool has achieved more than APC, but in 2017, I have more hope that a new APC record will be worthy of their legacy than Tool.
we literally just had this discussion. can we not do it again? they're both great bands that operate in totally different lanes.
Crazy to me how virtually anyone could be down on either (non-eMOTIVE) APC record. They're both such a rare combination of melodic, thoughtful, atmospheric, innovative, and yet very accessible/inoffensive. Records that might easily have 3-4 plausible radio hits, yet the musicianship and creativity are impeccable. With Tool, even though their discography is more impressive taken in sum, I completely get why they're polarizing and some people have no interest. APC's stuff just seems like something every music fan can find something to appreciate in.
