Do you guys think that’s just REALLY poor phrasing by Kerrang and they’re quoting one of the members discussing the band’s evolution? There’s no way they’d just casually drop the title like that...?

I mean, no one believed "10,000 Days" was the title when that album came out, especially since Disturbed's album at the time was called 10,000 Fists lol

Evolution is a mystery.

 

Saw a local Tool tribute band the other night and they were SURPRISINGLY on point. Their drummer was insane.

 

Everyone also thought "Rosetta Stoned" couldn't have been the real name when that leak came out haha

 

Didn't they "release" a fake album prior to Lateralus entitled Teleincision or some shit like that?

 

I don’t recall that. Time to do some googling.

I didn’t find anything. But, in all honesty, I searched for a minute or two.

That's what it was called! Teleincision was the "supposed" name of the live DVD that has yet to see the light of existence.

What a dumb band.

 

Two things:
1. According to Adam’s Instagram, the music is totally done and Maynard is doing lyrics now.
2. The drum solo (for lack of a better word) in “Forty Six & 2” floors me every time.

 

1. I want to believe that, however I still have zero expectations. I'll start getting excited when we have some new music.
2. One of my favorite Tool songs.

 

I think there’s too noise for there not to be an album on the horizon. My guess (hope) is that it comes out at the end of the year after APC have done their summer shows. It would also tie in with the fact James Iha has been in the studio with Billy for new Pumpkins, that I’m guessing is also slated for Q4 release too.
