Awesome. I'll be in some wrestling shirt I'm sure. Also probably won't be the most sober either lol.

Looks like the only changes to the setlist have been playing "Vicarious" or "Eulogy"
I'd prefer to see "Vicarious" What about you two?

    I've never seen them before!

I saw them 10 years ago next month. Still the best concert I've ever been to.

    I'd go Vicarious.

That's what I'm excited for! I've heard seeing them live is an experience! I forever was mad at myself for not seeing them 15 years ago when they came to Buffalo, and they're finally back in Upstate NY again!

I went to Bangor and Boston for my 6th and 7th Tool shows. I did VIP in Bangor which was an absolutely incredible experience! Was really, really, really hoping for Eulogy one of those days but I guess you can't have it all. The Boston Calling show was my favorite Tool performance, they were absolutely immaculate. Fuck I love this band.

That's great news to hear. Glad that your best show was the show before my first one! Means they're on top of their game right now! What song was the highlight of the set?

A two hour meet and greet with Adam where he answered everyone's questions, told some stories and gave an oral history of the band, then he played two songs for us. The meet and greet was amazing...Adam truly just hung out and answered questions and talked Tool for two hours, answering everyone's questions as in-depth as he could.

We got early access and discounts at the merch booth, which I suppose isn't that cool of a perk but I collect Tool posters so I was able to get an autographed one I had constantly struck out on. We also got a bag of Tool merch, including a t-shirt and a VIP poster. We got to watch soundcheck from the front row, then leave the venue and re-enter by skipping the line. We also got a group photo with Adam and Justin and got to shake hands with them, etc. We got tickets in the first five rows as well (some had front row, 3rd, etc...)

The VIP experience varies from venue to venue, so every experience is a little different. It was amazing though, 10/10 would do again.

The band is definitely on top of their game right now. I have seen them in 2007, 2009, 2012, and 2016 and this was the best I've heard them. Absolutely spot on, you guys are in for a treat!

Is there a song that's usually the highlight of a Tool set?

Schism and Stinkfist usually have these long interludes that they change up and throw in. The Schism one is awesome because they double the tempo and the buildup is intense. And as always the drum solo/ending of 46 & 2 is just insane. Of course, last I saw them was 2007 but I doubt they've changed things that much.

Great, because they're playing all 3 of those on this tour! That double tempo sounds real good

That didn't even feel like a show that felt like an experience. They were so tight live, and Maynard's vocals are top notch live. Maynard in the shadows really adds to the eerie videos playing behind them. His little dances he does back there are awesome, as well. The crowd went nuts just about the entire show, and the setlist couldn't have been anymore perfect. The pictures I took at the show do not do the visuals ANY justice. I could've gone there as someone who didn't know the band, or a casual fan and been blown away. Lucky for me I've been a die-hard fan going on 20 years, so I can cross another off of the bucket list! :)

You were allowed to take pictures? Security all around me was pouncing all over anyone who had their phone out for longer than 3 seconds. Tool has that strict no camera policy.

I loved how the power/extent of their visual show was unveiled gradually over the first few songs.

Yeah Tool shows are usually super strict about pictures.

I did it quickly. They were hounding people around me for Video. They didn't say anything to me or anyone about pictures

Also agreed, I loved how the screen slowly grew over the set.

I also liked how appreciative the band was at the end. The three of them stood out there for quite a bit of time thanking the crowd.
