Continuing their affinity for pushing the boundaries of physical packaging, the GRAMMY Award® winning outfit has created a deluxe, limited-edition CD version of Fear Inoculum. The collectible offering, which was conceived by and directed by Adam Jones, features a 4” HD rechargeable screen with exclusive video footage, charging cable, 2 watt speaker, a 36-page booklet and a digital download card. Pre-orders for both the special package and digital downloads are available NOW. The 85-minute collection was produced by TOOL, with Joe Barresi engineering and mixing the release. Barresi also worked with the band on 10,000 Days.
I almost never like mod intervention, but... can we get like a one-allegation-driveby-post-per-page or per-day rule? I respect people's right to make sure someone wandering into the thread is aware of the allegation, but that's being fully accomplished, and unless this thread is deleted it should probably be kept readable.
Lots of mixed feelings after several listens. One thing that's objectively clear is that the vocals are pushed forward in the mix quite a lot compared to any of their other releases. The production as a whole is good by Barresi standards, at least.
except anytime anybody posts anything related to the music, you have to interject and bring up unvalidated accusations that Maynard has flat out denied and seem to have been proven to be false anyway. Maybe on threads that relate to an artist who has an accusation against them it should just be put in the initial post or have a flair on the board so people can choose to contribute to the thread.
What ever came of those Maynard accusations? I know the ones that were made by the same account as the Trent Reznor ones were debunked. I remember Echoing The Sound tying the Trent accusations back to 4Chan and were in turn an attack on him for comments he had made regarding Trump. They verified the Twitter accounts that accused both Trent and Maynard were created at almost the exact same time. It’s possible that’s it’s a coincidence.
Yeah, you're damn right. Any time the music comes up I or somebody else is probably going to also mention the allegations. You aren't entitled to a guilt-free environment in which to ignore multiple allegations of assault against the face of this band. Also: I'm contributing to the thread. Just because it isn't in the way you'd prefer doesn't change that. If you don't like it, there are other places to go on the internet where you won't have to be reminded of what you're trying to ignore so you can just post things "related to the music." Or you can still "choose to contribute to the thread" for as long as it remains open. But so can I. Deal with it.
No, you are trying to make this thread entirely about the allegations. Like you said bOtH cOnVeRsAtIoNs CaN hApPeN aT oNcE. But they cant because anybody who says anything remotely not about the allegations is immediately brigaded by you guys. And you can also go elsewhere and talk about it. God forbid people talk about stuff "related to the music" in a music thread.
Hey you're the one begging the mods for some kind of bizarre, yikes-inducing "one allegations post-per-day" rule. If you truly think bOtH cOnVeRsAtIoNs CaN hApPeN aT oNcE (something I don't believe and have never professed to believe), why should my posts be limited but yours not? I'm just trying to have a conversation about how your fav has multiple accusations of sexual assault and other inappropriate behavior leveled against him. Anyway I'm fine talking about it right here, thanks. It's 1000000% related to the music because, and I don't know if this will come as a shock to you, he makes the music.
God forbid people talk about predators and continuing to keep their allegations in the limelight of their new music coming out
haven't listened since I could fill that 10 minutes with music made by bands with non-rapist frontmen, sounds like I'm better off
