FWIW... a Russian music leak site that usually has pretty accurate info just posted a title, tracklist, and artwork for this. Album is supposedly called "Chod" and is out August 30... I'll post the translated info below.

Looks like this info has actually been floating around on a bunch of different Russian sites and music pages on VK, which is where a lot of info like this often leaks. I'm still skeptical, but this might actually be legit.

Let’s hope it’s just a marketing image and has nothing to do with the artwork and/or font the band will use as their logo.

 

Another Instagram post... seems like they're gonna be posting about each of their releases in chronological order, perhaps leading up to an announcement??

 

Countdown theory is basically confirmed now. If they do one post per day, Saturday will likely be some sort of announcement for the new album.

 

Monday probably makes more sense for a big announcement.

 

Tool are planning to remaster and reissue all their albums for vinyl release

This news is just as exciting to me, if not more than details on the new record.

Would be a massive year for Tool if those vinyl reissues come this year also.
