    I'll allow the bar for earning my interest is higher here because I have an allergy to biopics, more specifically/especially to the ones where we already have a huge supply of on-camera material from the subject. Bless our lord and savior Michael Mann, but I had the same problem with Ali - why not just watch When We Were Kings?

    this was quite good (and better than the trailer made it look imo), and it works in part due to how willing matt johnson is to let tony be at least a little pathetic, which these biopics rarely ever do if at all. also cool seeing leo woodall so soon again after tuner

    that's good to hear, I thought the trailer looked like a decent enough coming of age movie but didn't necessarily get Anthony Bourdain vibes.
