  2. Been meaning to make a thread for this for months but always forget, lol. Should be a great listen though, not too familiar with Yussef Dayes but have always dug Tom Misch’s stuff

This is bloody great. I like Tom Misch, but it's Dayes drumming that stands out IMO. He was excellent on the Yussef Kamaal album too, you should give that a listen too.

  4. Noted! I don’t have a ton on my radar this week so I’ll for sure give that a spin over the weekend

this rules, no fat on it, every track kills. love the guitar heavy tracks especially. might end up being a favorite of the year at this rate

  8. Nightrider, Lift Off, Last 100, and Kyiv were the ones that caused me to look down at my phone to check the track titles, so I guess those stood out to me the most. But also the whole thing is great, they really didn’t miss

  9. @PauLo you weren’t kidding about the Yussef Kamaal record. It absolutely rips, Dayes is a monster

Listen to Alive in the East? as well by Binker & Moses. Dayes and Boyd drumming together. The tightest, fastest, nimblest I've ever heard a band with two drummers (and I've heard more than most people)

The drumming is so tight that I nearly always forget Dayes is even on it haha. It does not sound like two drummers at all.

Been rediscovering this today. Fuck this record is so good. One of those records where my favorite track is whatever one happens to be playing
