No, it's not about him. As far as I'm aware everyone in the band loves Thomas Diaz and say he's a sweetheart. He had to back out of the band shortly before "Whenever, If Ever" finished up recording because of health issues holding the band back. The song's on the new album, that you're probably referring to, are about Nicole. She was kicked from the band a year or two ago. She was an original member also though.
