Shame they don't have a left handed version/alternative for those that play guitars left handed.

I really like the Starcaster better, Strats are Strats (although I do appreciate 1 pickup approach)

Tom's strat is literally the only strat I like. I've always been a tele guy.

$1,300! No fucking thanks. This guitar was $500 in 2001. lol. Pretty sure it’s still a Mexican too since they only include a gig bag and not a hard shell case.

Same, love me some Tele's. Really digging Ryan Key's single HB he's been using, kinda like a Les Paul JR/tele hybrid

That price has really gone up since the time when it was initially released.

    Better than you, sorry

At the 2001 price this would have sold out in minutes today. At this price…it’s a pretty heavy investment into something most just would like to have and not really even play.

You owe me a Sausage McMuffin

Did Fender ever do a production run of these before, or were all his signature Strats done by Squier in previous releases?

Either way, even accounting for inflation and such, these new price points of $1,300 for some of these special MIM Fenders is ridiculous. Been a lot of them out lately.

If they do a Fender run of his new signature Starcasters, I'd pay attention. Though the price would still be stupid like this surely.

The first ones released were Mexican Fenders for $500ish if I remember correctly. I think a Squier model came out later.

Using an inflation calculator, $500 in 2000 = ~$904 in 2023, so there is definitely some mark up.

Wasn't the original green color seafoam green and not surf green? I always dreamed of having one in green and ended up building a surf green one out of a squire because it was cheaper and easier than tracking down an original.... and I already have a graffiti yellow one, so
