Have fun with Champ. Soooo good! And def check out Elephant Shell too, that's what turned me onto them in the first place.

 

Saw them in Philly on Tuesday night in front of maybe 200 people tops. Very intimate show, and they were absolutely incredible. Played several tracks off each album, which I was extremely happy about. Surprised they never blew up though!

 

You need to listen to Champ. Leaps and bounds better than anything else they have released.

Champ is def great but I think Forcefield is a close second. That record is underated.

 

Not really a big fan of Elephant Shell tho unfortunately

Big Weezer vibes! Surprising sound considering Dave initially worked with Rostam (ex-Vampire Weekend) on this.

 

Melina Collie and the Infinite Radness - Part Two is up on Apple Music.

 

New EP is fantastic. "Hang Your Heart" is a gem.

That and "My House" are my favorites.

 

I was not aware they were signed to Dine Alone Records. Pretty cool. Great label.

 

Yeah Part 2 is way more enjoyable than Part 1.. and I liked Part 1

 

Lesson In Crime/Smith EP (10th Year Anniversary) will be released on silver vinyl on Black Friday/Record Store Day.

Now if they would just reissue Champ.

And they did have what looked to be reissued Champs at their recent Chicago show (via Instagram I believe). Also somehow I was able to snag one of Champ's original pressings from Mom + Pop's store a few weeks ago--no idea how it happened, but one of the greatest vinyl purchasing days of my life!

 

Not really impressed by the EPs. A few good tracks out of the bunch but, they don't hold up to their previous work, even forcefield.

 

Looks like both EPs will be getting the vinyl treatment!

I did not know that acoustic versions of "Tesselate" and "Graves" existed until today. They are fabulous. Love me some TPC, especially acoustic TPC.

Also, the two b-sides for Elephant Shell are a lot of fun. "New New Song" and "Friends of P".
