Mellon Collie & The Infinite Radness, Part 1 is out today. And it's awesome.

Has there been any kind of update or news about a potential Second Part?

I love this band so, so, so much. Champ might be in my top 10 favorite albums of all time. Just finished listening to the new EP for the first time and I still can't think of a bad song this band has ever made. So into it.

My all-time favorite band. LOVE the new EP. I always wish they get the recognition the deserve. They mentioned Melon Collie and the Infinite Radness Part 2: Return of Jafar, but I don't know how serious the title is.

Also hoping for a vinyl release of the new EP(s). I have all of their previous material (7"s included) on wax, minus Champ unfortunately.

It's shocking how consistent this band had been for a decade now

Always surprises me that this band hasn't reached like Imagine Dragons/Walk the Moon levels of fame. I think they're easily as catchy as those kinds of bands and waaaaaaaay better.

I think this EP is far better than Forcefield. I know they suggested they had trouble writing Forcefield, unsure where to go next, and while I did enjoy much of that record, I think that much was obvious; this, however, is a return to what made me fall in love with them in the first place.

I definitely agree. Though there are still some stellar tracks on that record, this group seems a lot more cohesive. But to be fair, Champ is an extremely tough act to follow up.

New EP really impressed me after I remember being ambivalent about Forcefield

New EP is real good. I love Forcefield though, some absolute jams on it.

The EP is near perfection. Every song is great! Usually I like a majority of the songs on TPC albums but this one is great straight through! Can't wait for pt.2

Have you heard or read anything concerning a Part 2? I'm just assuming there will be, but figUred we would have heard something.

There will definitely be a part 2 but I don't expect it until Fall. No tracklist or anything has been released yet.

I've only ever listened to Forcefield, absolutely love it. This motivates me to dig into their discography.
