saw title fight in the anaconda sniper days. never got to see them post shed. I'm sure fests are throwing money at these guys. Really surprised they haven't gotten back together yet
What’s not to get? It’s later generation Lifetime and Saves The Day at its core. I guess if that’s not your bag, fair haha.
Every time this thread gets bumped, I go in with the foolish expectation that the band is doing shit again and then I get sad again.
Saw Title Fight during TLTYF era several times over being close with some of the bands that would play the Albany/Tri-State area with them. Some of my fondest memories of shows. One of the earliest shows they covered a GB song. Favorite show ever was when they played UAlbany’s cafeteria for free. When I eventually moved to Philly I saw them several times again and then last caught them headlining TIHC. I miss this band very much.
I saw them in a small venue in NH with Transit during that time too, great memories. My friend busted his nose during Memorial Field.
I miss Transit shows too. Such Gold, Make Do And Mend, Balance & Composure, Polar Bear Club, Tigers Jaw with the old lineup. Also had the pleasure of seeing mixtures of bands like those with I Am The Avalanche, Hostage Calm, After The Fall and plenty of hardcore bands to throw in. Felt very special to be a late teen for that wave of music.
I remember seeing them with NFG at Pop’s in 2009, they were literally children. They also had a backdrop banner that said simply TITTY FART
That era of post-hardcore holds such a special place to me, it's when I was finishing college and probably spending more time than ever with people that shared a similar taste in music to me. It was the pop punk wave of TWY, Transit, Fireworks, Man Overboard, etc then morphed into Title Fight, Tigers Jaw, Balance and Composure, La Dispute, Make Do and Mend, The Menzingers, HOSTAGE CALM (band before their time IMO) and so many others. Just felt like a special time. Not sure if it was as special as I make it out to be or if it's my nostalgia tinted glasses. EDIT: to this day, the only album I listened through for the first time on vinyl was Polar Bear Club's Clash Battle Guilt Pride, because I bought it at a show they headlined with MDAM, Fireworks, and B&C before the album came out. What an insane lineup.
I have a playlist with all the bands from that era, and I listen to it pretty regularly. Such a special time in music, to me. Going to throw on some TF now.
Floral Green is the only one of their records I really got into - but I really, really like that one. "Make You Cry" is probably my favorite on it.
Shed & Floral Green are just unbelievably good. I’ve listened to both straight through since y’all bumped this. Making my way back to TLTYF today while I’m off. TY thread bumperz.
I never saw them live, but I know that it would have been great. Hyperview really did it for me. Big inspo to my own writing. The vibe is perfect.
