I would love for that, but between no signs of them recording and them barely touring/playing any shows the past year or so, I just assumed they were fading out. Hyperview is 3 years old on February 3rd and from what I’ve heard, these guys are essentially inactive. I hope I’m wrong though.

 

doubt it, they basically did the same thing as pianos and la dispute. year off or so

 

Miss them, but I've heard rumors that they're actually done. Only playing a few shows here and there.

I believe two of them manage bands now. Pretty sure Shane tour manages Basement

 

That would be a massive bummer if true but I wouldn't be surprised if they just didn't say anything and just did stuff when they wanted to

 

Agreed, definitely a band that won't do anything else unless they are bringing their A-game

I really should listen to hyperview more, this albums a masterpiece

 

I honestly can't get into Hyperview, I've tried so many times

 

Hyperview is just not very good. They tried to intentionally change their sound too drastically, and didn't manage to pull it off.

Few good songs, not a bad record, just doesn't hold up to time and their earlier catalog.

 

Hyperview is way better than anything before Shed

 

Hyperview is what I drop in on the most. At least a couple times a year and I'm not really that big into the band.

They're a local band, but the singer used to be in Ages (who was also a local but I know they got a lot of traction outside of CLE) and a member from Homewrecker is in here too

 

I'm unfamiliar with those bands (though I think I may have heard the band name Ages in passing? If that means anything) but yr description is definitely interesting. I have always liked Hyperview but I also know that the band could've done better than they did (like head in the ceiling fan for example)

 

How come they’re not making any new music?
