I love Crash too but he obviously doesn't begin to understand Titane at all

 

I’d rather focus on what he says instead

 

Viggo really not reading the room here. There is an avalanche of IP out there squeezing out a lot of smaller films from even getting a screen in some theaters and your villain is “Titane”, because it has some similar motifs and themes?

 

Yeah I don’t get why he felt the need to comment on that movie. I get he’s been in a bunch of Cronenbergs but like Cronenberg himself loved Titane and appreciates the similarities but knows she’s doing something different there.

Am I missing something here? I'm reading the article and it sounds like he feels Crash got a worse reception than it deserved vs. Titane. Whether he's right or wrong is irrelevant, but I'm not sure where "IP vs. indie" comes into play here, unless your point is "He should stop being mad about that and be mad about this instead?"

 

Crash is better than Titane, but the energy is better spent criticizing other types of movies.

 

At first I thought he was talking about the other Crash
