It’s finally here! With a BNM!
Excited to check it. Gladly is a great single.
This is weird and great and I love it
It's pretty incredible. It's telling of how good this is that Gladly might be might least favorite.
Holding On is my fav
Oh god this is sooo good
Favorites are holding on, guilty, devotion, go now, say when
Also I had no idea Mica Levi was who did the score for Under the Skin. That rules, and she rules.
Some of this feels like Juana Molina meets Burial. And the intro + outro to Basic Need is straight off of Age Of, and while it seemingly makes no sense, the effect it has at the end of the song is literally breathtaking for me
I think it's telling of Pitchfork's waning cultural influence that the BNM for this album hasn't generated way more conversation. It's a shame, because stuff like this really deserves people's attention.
Agreed. Although its the same few people in the weird niche album threads discovering new shit
Tirzah’s wavy soul (and soul music)
More people check this out!!!!
I checked this out. Whats the hype? It was fairly boring to my ears?
The hype is that it is very good
Gladly, Holding On and Say When are fantastic. Really into this
I love Do You Know a lot. Easy standout for me.
Affection is really interesting too.
Checking this out as I've heard a lot of people praise it on other boards. Love what I've heard so far.
Thoroughly enjoying this on first listen.
GVB's #1 of the year!
Saw this on a few AOTY lists and thought I’d check it. Not disappointed at all, digging this a lot.
13 on the p4k list!
I love "Gladly" but the rest didn't really grab me yet
I liked Gladly as the single, but it honestly became one of my least favorites once the whole album dropped.
