Yeah mine died a few years ago, replacement battery didn’t work and the mechanic I go to is a family friend and he said something about needing to buy a part to put in the car to work / connect to the new fob that was really expensive so I told him I’d just manually lock and unlock my car with the key. Since it’s a family friend I assume he’s not bullshitting me so unfortunately it seems like if it isn’t the cheap battery, you need a new fob and some other piece entirely which isn’t cheap.
Realtor.com and what they consider a “new” listing. I scroll threw the site every night before bed for months now and they’ll have a house listed as “new” for weeks if not months straight and then randomly have new houses I didn’t see the day before on there but they’re not marked as new.
It works now -.- after I did an override for the x number of time and drove it. I guess now I have back up batteries but the spare fob I have no idea where I put the key part (I tried switching fobs with the battery)
Yea, I absolutely hate the trend towards keyless cars. Every time I’ve rented a car keyless one I’ve hated it. Also the fob’s cost so much to replace. It’s insane. Just give me a key, it worked fine.
My keyless entry fob has a real key inside that I can slide out to unlock thankfully. Still have the hold the fob up to the starter button in the car when the battery in the fob is dead though
I played a show last night and one of the local band openers pulled up in 3 separate cyber trucks lmao
Missed the train by like 15 secs this morning and had to wait for the next one which normally wouldn’t bother me but it’s 13 degrees outside and kinda windy
This is how I feel about most things. I don't need a touch screen and an app for everything. Just give me a manual switch and knob.
Mine does too. Since the other day it works on and off. Won’t unlock the door but starts the car without having to hold it up. Since I bought new batteries I’m going to try one more time before I have to take it to the dealership and they might have to re program it
The only movie theater in my town has been undergoing renovations for months so half the theater is closed. We already don’t get a lot of small movies but now we’re basically getting just like 8 billion showings of wicked and that’s it and I’m so sad. I miss going to the movies!! And I don’t want to drive 2 hours to see good movies.
I thought my big screen TV was gonna get delivered on my day off, but it came two days early while I am at work, and now I am worried it's gonna be stolen by the time I get home.
I am pleased to report that Hulu finally fixed this issue this year. Did my yearly Frasier Christmas episode marathon in peace!
When you think you’re right on time to catch the bus but then it’s actually two minutes early so you see it cruising past you from a distance. Oh and the next one doesn’t come for at least an hour because it’s America.
People who don’t know the difference between sterilize and disinfect. They’ll say something is sterilized when really they mean disinfected
Between consumerism and car culture the holidays make everyone on the brink of vehicular manslaughter
I watch a lot of YouTube videos on my phone (or at least listen to them while they play in the background of working or doing other shit) and I swear YouTube is watching me - feels like every damn time I move away from my phone and add plays. I have my phone near me for an hour and seems like maybe 1 add plays. Meanwhile I get up / move away from my phone like 5 times in a half hour and as soon as I’m a few feet away an add starts to play. Should probably just sign up for YouTube so I get rid of adds entirely
Never understood why people are so dumb in them. I drive through multiple on a daily basis where I live. Probably helps that my driver's ed was next door to one that people were getting into accidents in all the time so I was regularly taught to drive in it
