Maybe the most first world problem I could post but reality tv shows / contests that slowly shift the focus from the actual activity/task to the contestants or host. Master Chef, Hell’s Kitchen, The Challenge, Lego Masters, etc. all seem to start with the focus on the task / main purpose of the show and over time show that less and less in favor of “drama” with the cast or host. Season 4 or 5 of US Lego Masters barely even shows the build process of the challenges and it’s even worse because the entire cast sucks / is bland as hell lol
I hate my brain so much. I had an outfit I knew I was gonna wear today. Went into the basement bc I knew I just washed it only to realize the load of clothes I washed 3 days ago…..completely forgot to hang them up to dry. I’m like this with everything and it’s so frustrating but I can’t afford to go to a dr so guess I just gotta deal with it.
The new job I am supposed to start next week they originally told me my start date was 11/1, then they told me 11/2, then 11/3, and I just get an email today it's 11/4.
I know we can only do our best to predict the weather, but I wanted to go to an outdoor dias de las muertos event but it was canceled because of the bad weather and then ironically the weather has been completely fine during the window of time the celebration would have been lol
certainly not a good sign lol Depending what type of job it is and the dates, would have made sense to start on a Saturday? Or maybe whoever was gonna be your main contact is off those days now but still, you’d think they’d be a little better planned than constantly changing the date one day at a time however, every company I’ve worked for, including the current one which tries its best to look like a competent and smart company, fucks up every new hire and even transfer by never having accounts set up. It’s a bit of a running joke that you won’t get access to anything until day 4 or 5 at earliest because communication sucks at every level for this company
It makes a little more sense with the context that this is the ground floor of brand new American subsidiary of a British company. The HR people I am talking to are all in the UK and the American COO is trying to the operation up and running. Kinda understand they don't have their shit organized yet.
When I got promoted upstairs to a new department at my last company I guess IT coded something wrong in the system so I couldn't log in. I just got paid to sit there at my cubicle for like 3 days while they fixed it. It was sick.
Everyone is illiterate. I feel like I need a stage name now because half the time when someone else makes a poster for a show I’m playing, they put MICHEAL for my first name. Cmon, I have one of the most common first names ever lol. This has happened for like 20 shows now it’s driving me crazy
I have this with my last name. While my last name isn’t common, it starts with an R and every time it gets spelled wrong it’s always the same error - the R changes to an L. It’s been like 3 decades of the same error and I never understood why lol it’s not even like R and L are close on a keyboard, so what the fuck
Whenever I need to give my last name at shows, doctors’ offices, etc I spell it after saying it bc when I just say it people usually think it starts with a different letter
The local Facebook page about a city's food scene where the main rule to post is "don't speak negatively about any restaurant mentioned"
Working with unskilled contractors who ask the most basic questions because your company doesn't want new hires who they have to provide benefits to
It's hard to judge fairly going from a gigantic corporation that has their shit together to a smaller company. Trying to resist the urge to be like "what they don't have a whole training department run by people with Instructional design grad degrees? What is this amateur hour bullshit?" or "what they only match your 401K 6% and not 50%? cheapskates"
Another annoying thing about starting his new job that I know from experience is a very common company thing: the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing Like me and the other new hire had a zoom meeting with the head office yesterday and she was was like "oh you will start off on accounts with easy stuff, it'll be simple to start out" and then a few hours later the branch manager came in and told us how he wants get started on all this complex shit we barely have a handle on ASAP.
I’m trying to find a new coin purse because the one i have keeps opening and spilling my coins in my purse. Everything I’ve seen on Amazon are too big for what I’m looking for (looking for a zipper pouch) or has the snaps, which I don’t want
My power is out because there was a traffic accident but I keep forgetting and I am bored. And it is cold. But like I have one of those couches where you can press a button and the footrest goes up and it reclines but I can't recline and do that because there is no power and then I was like maybe I should just go to the gym then. except guess what. There's no power there either. I have puzzles that I bought just specifically for if there's a power outage, but I don't want to do a puzzle right now. So I am just being a whiny baby
when you apply to a job on linkedin and get a screening and then a month later it's still there but you never had an in person interview
I have a friend who I enjoy very much but she unironically is like this gif except she's not even referencing the show. She is adamant she's weird because she used to have piercings and she likes nu metal and I'm like girl I'm so sorry but you're not weird at all and also that's okay?? Like you're very kind and interesting and you don't need to be "weird" as part of your identity
My phone, laptop, smart watch, earbuds, and Nintendo Switch charge pretty fast. My Amazon Fire tablet takes fucking forever.
