I’ve had the exact opposite experience. Need a night guard but insurance won’t cover it, I clench my teeth like crazy in my sleep.
my dental didn't cover my wisdom teeth removal because I didn't read the fine print and get a better plan, and yeah teeth are body bones
Yeah it really makes no God damn sense and I feel terrible for people I know on Medicaid who have had no dental coverage under emergency situations. I know people who have had to get teeth pulled because they couldn't afford a root canal.
I haven’t been to a dentist or eye doctor in years bc I don’t have dental/vision insurance. Also absolutely terrified to see how much insurance is gonna cost bc I get it through the ACA. The cheapest insurance through my job is almost $700 for just me and isn’t even good! That’s more than my mortgage payment lol definitely can’t afford that!!
Don’t look at the night guard as “optional”. It helps with occlusal wear of your teeth. Especially if you’re a heavy bruxer. I’ve seen people whose teeth are ground down so much. Grinding also causes gum recession. Also not every plan has night guard coverage, and if it does it’s not always at 100%. Dental ins has other “weird” things like a missing tooth clause, waiting periods for restorative and major work before your ins covers a portion. I can go on. lol
When I think something is charging for a while but it's slightly off the cord or something and wasn't charging at all. Enough to make me rage
Oh totally I just meant optional where my dentist said I could just buy an over the counter one if I couldn't afford it, but tbh, they aren't as comfortable IMO But yeah I was really lucky, my dentist had actually never heard of an insurance plan that covered that haha but my Delta plan does every 5 years. I do have a history of recession now that you mention it... Needed a gum graft a few years ago. I have a weird mouth. Still have two baby teeth, can't wait to pay to replace those with implants one day :P
Dang rush hour traffic to Boston is insane... I'm like usually an hour and 10 mins away. Left on a bus at 6:45 AM, it's now 8 AM, and Google maps says another 50 minutes for a 6.3 mile drive
When I convince myself that I don't need a little treat or won't want a little treat later so I don't pick anything up. I will always want the little treat. Now I don't want to go back out into the world but I want a little treat. Just a little ice cream or a little piece of cake or a little candy and I got nothing
Oh also I am at a work thing today and they provided catered lunch which is super awesome except they didn't label anything and didn't have servers dishing it out or anyone that I could ask to double check if it was vegetarian. It looked like it could be, but I worry about broths in the sauce and stuff. A quick little placard or note by the dish saying if it's vegetarian, gluten free, etc would've taken like 1 minute and would've been soooo nice. There were only two entrees so would've been minimum effort. A small thing that makes a big difference. I ended up having a sad salad to be on the safe side. Sad salad because there was barely any left in the big serving bowl. Which now that I think of it, my miniscule lunch may be why I'm craving a treat!! (This is a lie, I crave treats daily)
Of course my annoying and loud neighbors with zero courtesy for other people put the loudest fucking Halloween decoration up right by my bedroom window!!! It’s motion sensor but goes off with even a light breeze so it just screams all fucking night. I really wish I could just flip my house around so my bedroom could be on the opposite side of the house bc I’m so tired and just want one single quiet night!!
I have one of those toilets that has a push flusher instead of a handle. You have to push the thing all the way down and hold it down for 3-5 seconds for the toilet to completely flush. If you just give it a quick press it won't flush all the way.
We have automatic flushers at the office. Was real funny one day when my coworker came out of the stalls to tell us his badge fell off and the toilet sucked it down when he bent over to grab it
I prob said this before, but people who slow down when going through a toll bridge. IT LITERALLY SAYS NOT TO STOP OR SLOW
The fact that it’s the last week of October and there will be a heat wave this week in my neck of the woods. Ugh.
I ended up just eating the burgers w/ a fork. They were fine I just felt like a dummy for not having anything to put them between lol
