My neighbor’s son has friends over and they camp out like once a month which is sweet. Except the parents refuse to have them in the backyard, which is fenced in and away from the neighbors. Instead they have them up front which is right beside my bedroom which means once a month I get no sleep bc they scream all night and it’s always on a night I work in the morning. Between them and another neighbor whose dog barks every fucking morning at 6 am for 30 mins straight I never get a break lol I just want a full night’s sleep for once!
I did after the last time they were outside and just said hey, don’t mind them being outside but next time can they take it to the backyard? And here they are back in the front yard! So idk what to do now since clearly they don’t care lol
I’m fairly certain I can somehow hear the dying battery chirp of a smoke detector from one of my neighbors? Or one in the hallway? No matter where I go though in my apartment to try and figure out where it’s coming from it sounds the same everywhere in every room. Unless I happen to own something that makes the same 3-chirp noise as a smoke detector / carbon monoxide detector but I don’t think that’s the case and now that I’ve heard it I’m gonna always hear it until it stops lol
Just got off the phone with the COO of a company I am in the interview process for to let me know I was on their top 3. Which is great, but he said something I thought was very weird and unprofessional. "I will have you talk with our CEO on Teams so he can have a chance to meet you to make sure I am not making a terrible terrible mistake" Wtf?
He also said during the interview "the pay is $22 an hour I just want to make sure that is ok with you." and I said that is more than fine because my last job doing something similar the pay was $19 an hour and he said out loud "ah damn!" like he realized he was paying his workers too much. That was offputting.
I personally wouldn’t have said anything about my past pay, but still, that reaction is absolutely crazy Sounds like this company is already a red flag…
It's a US subsidiary of a UK company that the publicly listed on the London stock exchange so at least it's not some boiler room outfit, but I think I am just getting the vibe it's a inexperienced COO. They're literally just starting out in the US and I'd be a part of the opening American team. The pay is too good and it's the job fits my previous skillset too perfectly not to take if and see where it goes.
trimmed the pinky nail on my left hand (I'm a leftie) a bit too short. it's been throbbing ever since
Was craving fries this morning so I stopped at a local spot and the only size they offered was large which was enormous so I couldn’t finish half of them Like why not offer a smaller size? I don’t need that much and I don’t wanna waste food
I've seen two job listings with misspellings today, not comfortable if you can't spell administrative or Brooklyn and don't notice typos
The job I just got hired for the HR lady was very friendly and quick to respond all week during the process of getting my background check done and getting onboarded. She just told me I start training on Monday, but didn't give me a schedule or what to bring. Knowing it's Friday I sent her a text expecting another quick response. No reply. I am starting to get nervous when it's an hour before their office closes for the weekend and I still have no idea what to do on Monday. So I give her a call. I then get a passive aggressive snippy toned response about "I have been in meetings all day. You'll get an email today with all of that " It's like damn bro they're all nice, friendly, and expedient when they're trying to get you hired, but then once you're officially an employee they turn quick.
It's all good. Typical workplace shit. Passive aggressiveness, getting snipped at by someone because of their own poor communication skills. I am used to it. I was just amused how quick it took to come out this time lol
I paid for 3 day shipping on something I ordered and it’s taking nearly a week. Still haven’t got my items
Ugh I'm getting my vaccines later today so I can spend Sunday dying if I feel awful. Last year I was fine but normally I get all fatigued and achy for like 24 hours
Part tiny thing that annoys me, part climate dread: the fact that it’s been 80 degrees in late September in New England
Ordered an impossible whopper only to get home, open the wrapper and find a double cheeseburger. I obviously ordered an impossible whopper bc I don’t eat meat so now I have a sandwich I can’t eat and have to cook dinner which I didn’t want to do which is why I ordered food!!
Been checking out reviews for teeth whitening strips and in pretty much all examples, people's before and after photos are in notably different lighting which is pretty unhelpful for this type of product lol
My boyfriend eats meat and I don't and we partake in Whopper Wednesday at Burger King. I make him check my Whopper every time to make sure it isn't meat. For some reason I always think I won't be able to tell even though the few times that I have accidentally bitten into meat, I knew right away I'm sorry that happened it's the WORST I call it the vegetarian tax! Our options are more expensive and if we ask for something that normally comes with meat to be without meat they never lower the price. And then stuff like this happens. If it was the other way around even if they weren't happy about it, a meat eater could probably still eat the impossible burger, but we can't eat the meat! Smh
