In December, I booked a hotel room in LA for a weekend in May. This last weekend, I got an email saying it was cancelled. I called the hotel and they said there was a system glitch and a few peoples rooms got cancelled and that he’d call me back. No one ever called. So I called them today and they said “sorry, we are fully booked that weekend.” So I was like, “Ok… but I booked it a few months ago. Why would it all of a sudden get cancelled?” And the front desk person said she doesn’t know… So annoying
Damn I'd be pissed. They should give you a free voucher for another weekend of your choosing for that kind of screw up
I’m house/dog sitting for a family member who lives way out in the country and idk their water just smells funny to me and while I’m sure it’s fine since obviously this is a house people live in and use the water from all the time, it’s a pet peeve of mine so I gotta buy a bunch of bottled water to get me through the next week. Thankfully I wasn’t planning on showering here to begin with (coming home each day as I work from home so I’m not isolated hours away from home and have to stay there 24/7) but “how is the water” wasn’t on my list of things to check before this started
This sounds like my grandma’s house and if it’s anything like that, definitely get bottled water lol She lived in a very rural area so had well water but her water smelled and it tasted horrible. It was also really hard water so it dried your skin and hair out. My brother lives there now and he had to install a water softener, a filter system of some kind and got a reverse osmosis system just to make the water palatable. It was awful. He even uses the reverse osmosis water when he’s cooking bc he still doesn’t trust the water lol There’s technically nothing in it that will hurt you, it just tastes awful.
yeah I think this is very close to the same thing. I remember my uncle mentioning something on the side of the garage and I believe he said it was connected to the well. I think I’m gonna give the dog bottled water as well for drinking water lol. When I was filling up her bowl and later washing my hands, the smell was just THERE after the water was on for 10 seconds or so and maybe my uncle has a filtration system too but not gonna risk it. Knowing how it smelt, I couldn’t bring myself to drink it. Also gonna bring extra water depending on what I’m making for dinner / breakfast because yeah, I wouldn’t trust it even after boiling it. Just can’t wrap my head around it unfortunately
I don’t need to hear your bass bumping from your car. You don’t look cool. Do you think you look cool, bc you just look annoying and the male version of “look at me” girl.
Always made me laugh how much money my friend dumped into putting a giant subwoofer in his trunk just to hear it rattle his license plate around
Two things about quitting cigs: 1) getting your sense of smell back and realizing your house stinks and 2) the intense vivid dreams you get while sleeping with a patch on
Just want to give a friendly congratulations on quitting! Both my parents were smokers growing up so I know it’s not easy trying to quit. Keep at it!
Yeah I am using a patch while popping in a Zyn whenever I get a breakthrough craving. with the goal of eventually tapering myself of.
Tiny thing that always annoys me but especially annoyed me today: people who complain and complain but refuse to do anything about it. It’s okay to be frustrated and mad and feel any emotions that come your way but when someone has the same complaint day after day it’s like, okay, let’s think about what we can do to either make the situation better and if it’s completely out of your control, let’s work on how we can manage our emotions. This probably makes me sound like a bitch but ohhhh well
My ex would do that. Complain about stuff but do nothing to fix it, yet he also complained about people who complain about things that do anything to fix it
Here’s another one: They state in the video that this spa is in Los Angeles, but says in the caption that it’s 2 hours away from Los Angeles?? And still doesn’t mention the name of the place either! What’s even the point?
It gets people to ask in the comments, those interactions feeding the algorithm. That's what I assume in these cases. Don't like it either and it doesn't change my view that social media is just a giant infomercial at this point.
When a site gives you the typical “hey let us have your email and we’ll give you 15% off” pop up, so you reluctantly do it because whatever, you’re about to buy something anyway. But then they’re like “actually give us your phone number too if you really want that 15% off :)”. No! Fuck off. So then they don’t give you the coupon but add you to their email list anyway since you already gave them that
or when they do that but the 15% off drops you out of range for free shipping so you end up basically paying full price after shipping
I don't know why I thought getting my hair dyed professionally would make the process less messy. But I got a vivid red put in and I am so over it transferring onto everything. The back of my neck is always red and it's staining my clothes and I guess I thought professionals had access to like better dyes that wouldn't do that
Ugh I know exactly how you feeeeel. I always put a towel over my pillow after I get my hair dyed for a couple days, at least until I wash it. Though it could also be your stylist and how thorough they are in the process, what barrier creams etc they use and stuff.
The Domino’s commercial where they ask people how their stuffed crust is vs how it used to be and the “twist” is that Domino’s never had stuffed crust before. How does that make your company look good if you tell them “actually we never had this before so you’re remembering a different company! Ha!”
I use to dye my hair vivid red all the time and it was so staining and bleeds very easy. I want to go to Sally’s and do some block color or something
