I hate when people slow to a crawl a good 15-30 seconds before making a turn, then completely stop in the middle of the road before finally making their turn. I see it all the fucking time after like 9pm downtown. I swear it's just a bunch of drunks trying to be extra cautious so they don't get caught. There is a concerning amount of drivers who go 10-15 mph on a 30-35 mph road late at night when there aren't many other cars on the road
Dude you moved out of this city at the right time, it's a total ghost town at night now haha. Just a couple cars parked outside of the bars, very few people walking around, incredibly questionable drivers. It's changed so much out of nowhere
When you hit a button on accident on something and don’t know how to change it back. My specific example are my wireless headphones. There are at least 6 tiny buttons on them and I’ll accidentally bop one and then will need to turn them off and back on to undo whatever I did because I don’t know what button was hit.
But what if it we turn left on a red when it's a one way which I'm 85% sure is legal. I mean I hope so cause I do it lol
Oh my God I was pairing up with my coworker on a call all day and neither of us saw our boss IMed us saying we could sign off early for Labor Day an hour and a half ago lol
When one of my coworkers finds me online Today a person I’ve worked with for the past 2 years (whom I’ve never spoken with about anything besides work) followed me on Threads. Like, she seems cool and my profile is public so obviously I’m aware anyone can see it but like, way to make me a tiny bit more conscious about what I post lol
Flossing my teeth. I hate it. It doesn't take long. I have no reason to hate it. My teeth feel nice after. But I hate it. Trying to floss before I call to make a dentist appt so they don't lecture me at the appt. Hoping by then it'll be a habit. Blegh.
Taking a shower when it's like 72 degrees or higher in the apartment and then feeling shortness of breath, seeing spots, and needing to turn the shower off in the middle of it to sit down for a few minutes and gasp for air before I can keep going. Man, idk why heat and steam really fuck with me. I'm fine if I shower while the AC is cranking. I need it to be like 66 degrees to feel comfortable
I’m downtown for a concert and used the same lot I always do for this venue. It’s always $20. Now it’s $40.
Honestly, I think it might be because it’s a weekend. I haven’t been to a show on a weekend in forever.
I had to pay $40 for parking when I went to Hella Mega a few years back. That’s also why I haven’t been to Dodgers games in a while. Super expensive, sadly
Having to work every single holiday unless I want to use one of the few PTO days I get. And the holidays are always slow with no work anyway but they still won’t give us the day off. I have to check back every hour and all the down time I have I’m not getting paid for.
I'm a medical transcriptionist. I regret picking this field every day of my life lol I only picked it because every job I was interested in required a college degree and payed no money whereas this cost me $2000 to be certified and that was exactly the amount I got from my graduation party lol I've been doing it since I was 20 and I am definitely burnt out!
When everything I want to read from the library is out so I place a hold and then all the books are ready to borrow at the same time I've had books I keep letting the next person borrow until I'm ready but I've extended the hold like 7 times because I can't coordinate it all.
this happens to me all the time haha, I try to keep my list short enough that I usually only need to delay it once if that on the other hand there have been times they get more copies and my wait goes from 2 months to 2 days lol
There’s a stretch of road not far from my place that is known to be a bit of a speed trap. Even though it’s a surface street, the stretch is long, there’s multiple lanes and there’s also not a lot of traffic on it. It’s a 45 MPH zone, but because of all the aforementioned reasons, it’s very easy to speed on that road and in reality, it should be like a 50-55 MPH zone. However, last month the city for whatever reason decided to lower the speed limit in that area to 35 MPH. Now I try to avoid it at all cost. Ugh
As someone who quit eating dairy a few years ago, I’m kind of surprised and disappointed at the lack of non-dairy flavors at ice cream shops. Wife and I took her mom to Cold Stone tonight. The only non-dairy ice cream they had was a chocolate one make from Silk almond milk which I was game for. When it came my time to order, it turned out they were completely out, so I left empty-handed. You think with how common dairy allergies and dairy-free lifestyles are now, shops like this would be more accommodating? Especially a chain ice cream shop?
Yeah that is pretty surprising. Was about to say that thankfully I think sherbert is better than all ice cream so I have that to fall back on, but apparently that has dairy, too!
Ugh I get that. Thankfully I live in a vegan friendly area so there's lots of local options but that makes it stand out even more when there isn't a dairy or meat free option somewhere! For a while the big fast food chains had veggie burgers and I get it was prob cooked along the meat stuff but it was nice having an option in a pinch. But a lot have been phased out. Even the salads at fast food places often have meat in them. Like give a sis something!! Related, when Mexican restaurants have vegetarian burritos but they have refried beans in them I'm like I just don't trust they have vegetarian refried beans. As a person of Mexican heritage myself, I feel like many Mexicans don't understand what it means to not have animal products in something lol so unless it's a place that seems to cater towards vegetarians it's always sus
Also I know it makes me a huge jerk, but when my mom responds to a pic of food I post on insta and comments something like "yum!" Idk why it's annoying but it is. Or she'll ask me where I got it, and it's like why tho. She'll never go there and she'll never remember what it's called anyway. Idk my mom was like designed to hit all my petty small pet peeves
