I mean Mr Beast wouldn’t be doing it if he wasn’t making money off of it. He can be doing good for people while also being inherently messed up and exploitative.

Every time I see someone get a French Bulldog now I get a annoyed knowing that the massive demand for them now is causing inbreeding which is leading them to have major health, neurological, and behavioral issues. Stop buying purebred Frenchies.

I think publicizing their acts sometimes helps them afford to do it too. I see a few landscaper tiktokkers and they'll clean up someone's yard or power wash someone's driveway and make an old dilapidated area look nice (with permission) and say the views help them afford to do that for free. But I haven't looked more into it than that. When it is super performative it's weird. Everyone should look into their local organizations to volunteer or assist with something if they're able. It can be super fun. Lots of orgs need people to volunteer to drive ppl with disabilities or deliver food boxes to those who can't drive, or libraries often need people with tech knowledge to do IT work. Now I'm off my original topic but I wish more people could volunteer their time. But I get why they don't because it's hard enough even doing our own stuff and surviving.

Yeah I go back and forth on how I feel about this. Something about it feels more of a clout-chasing thing which rubs me the wrong way. But at the same time, I’ll happily take helping people in need over pulling harmful pranks

this is far from the first time I’ve carped about this but I really hate it when my Amazon order says shipping now for eight hours before it actually does

not that it was really at all your intention but you actually incentivized me to look up local charities today.. it’s been on my heart lately to give my time to those who might need it. plan on calling a few tomorrow and seeing how I can help

My mom adopted a dog today and literally everything the place said about the dog is not true. They said she’s sweet, calm and great with kids. She seemed okay when my mom met her but it was only one time and brief. My mom has a fenced in yard and the dog almost jumped over the fence trying to attack the neighbor. She would have got over if my mom hadn’t got the leash on her in time. I came over just to see how she would be and she was extremely aggressive and kept lunging at me. I’ve never been nervous around dogs before but she is scary! My mom even told the people she has 3 grandkids including a 2-year-old. So now she feels awful but is gonna have to return the dog bc obviously this is not gonna work. How can they say a dog like that is ok around kids???? Like if she didn’t have the dog on the leash it would have attacked me and they think that’s ok with kids??

Jeeze that's awful. That would piss me off so much. I'm glad the vet I bought my cat from had common sense and was up front about her. She had been taken back multiple times because she does not get along with other pets, so the vet finally put in the adoption ad "PETS" with a red X through it lol. She's such a sweetie with humans, but just hisses and is an asshole to any animals. My old roommates poor dog was afraid to go up the stairs because my cat would just sit at the top of the stairs and stare him down (he adopted the dog a good year after I already had my cat)

Hope you find something! I volunteer weekly for a lil nonprofit store and it's so much fun! Before I found my current volunteer gig I volunteered at a few random things to try them out and see what I liked and they were all enjoyable. It's just nice being around others who are trying to improve their community and I think does a lot to lift the spirit

Also my annoying thing is that I was by someone who had major main character syndrome. Just loud and very "look at me!" Which honestly was easy enough to ignore until they turned to me and apologized that they're so annoying and am probably ruining my night. Like if u don't know ur annoying that's one thing. But if you know you're annoying... Like, you know you can stop the behavior, right? It's not like it was something outside of their control. They made a choice to be like a main character theater kid in a situation that didn't call for it and was loudly singing in a non-singing situation like for a WHILE. Like that's a choice lol

It's wild that as a society, we've all normalized a popular lawn game having the same name as a term that refers to a butthole lol

(Love corn hole though, fun game)

Five Point Amphitheater in Irvine had cornhole games you could play in the venue (where all the stands were and whatnot). My wife and I would play before we went to our seats. I sucked
