I hate that Starbucks is the only coffee place near my office that’s open when I get to work in the morning. I start my day at 7:00 and every great local place nearby isn’t open before then. I’d much prefer to get better coffee and support small business, but none of them are open during the 6:00 hour

There’s only one that opens at 6:00 that I like, but it’s a bit out of the way

My boss never replies to any emails and since I work from home, email is my only option. It is so annoying bc we will have very short deadlines and I will have a simple question (bc they never give us any details about anything!!) and she just never replies.

 

Dang that's annoying, no chats/IMing in your job?

 

Nope and if I email my TL or anyone else they just forward the email to my boss lol so it’s completely pointless and I never get any answers!

 

Last few days there has been a red blotch on my ribs. I figure it’s a bug bite or something but thought it looked bigger today than yesterday so I drew a circle around it this morning and when I looked at it just now the color/size is beyond the circle I made so that’s probably not great but we’ll see what happens.

Usually when I draw attention to something then it goes away so I expect that to be the case here. Not gonna waste money and time going to get medical opinion and find out it is just a spider bite or a weird scratch or reaction to laundry detergent or some such shit lol

Yeah I had it last year and it was not fun. Definitely get that checked out

 

Yeah better to catch it early - after a while, treating it can be very difficult and can become a chronic condition. Unfortunately lab tests for it are not highly accurate and some ignorant doctors will shrug it off entirely if you don't have a bullseye rash, despite that only being a symptom for like.. 1/5 of the people who catch it

 

My tiny annoyance: the eventual pain of having my belt digging into my stomach all day after sitting at my desk for 8 hours

I absolutely refuse to wear jeans or button-up shorts at home and haven't in years lol

Yeah I only wear regular clothes to work or when I go for a social outing. Once I get home and know I’m not heading out for the rest of the day (or if I’m just running a small errand), I immediately put on gym shorts or sweats and a gym shirt

Pretty awesome that the week it gets hot here and the week I start wearing shorts again, all of my ankle socks have mysteriously disappeared!

 

Not getting an interview for a well paying job that you’re well qualified for and know you’d be good at
