On the other hand, I also had the complete opposite happen to me recently. I visited family near my hometown a few weeks back and a cute, modern coffee shop opened not far from where my folks live, so we stopped to try it on our way back south. My 16 oz cold brew was only $3.50.

My jaw dropped. If I got that anywhere else, Starbucks, Peet’s, fancy local place, ANYWHERE, it would’ve been like $5 or more. I thought it was 2017 again

Just drove for 25 minutes and my car barely cooled off. Can feel the cold air blowing at me but the rest of my car couldn't care less lol

 

To be fair, indoor heat is awful and I do not envy you haha luckily I have AC. Hope it cools off for you soon!

 

Finally got my kitchen pantry built. Last step is putting in the drawers. Get them all put together and go to put the runners on so they can slide into the tracks and they didn’t predrill any holes!! I don’t have a drill. So now I gotta wait until my family has a party for the 4th and bring the drawers with me and see if my dad or uncle can put the tracks on for me. I just wanna organize my kitchen!!

 

When people don’t freeze the top row in an Excel file when there are hundreds or thousands of rows of data. Like I’m gonna fucking remember or know what column M in telling me when I open the file and I’m thrown to row 1524.

 

It’s cliche but the DMV. I never understood the whole hating the DMV thing until I moved to New York. Never had any issues in New Hampshire or Massachusetts but New York is a fucking nightmare.

 

Something great I learned recently is that if you have AAA for your car insurance, you can do most (if not all) DMV actions at just about any AAA location. I had to get a new copy of my registration and get a new sticker since the DMV fucked up my address and kept sending it to the wrong place (even though all the info I had on file with them is correct). Doing it at AAA was a breeze

 

Wow good to know. AAA rocks. My mechanic gives a 10% discount to AAA members

 

Correction: Apparently some things can’t be done at AAA (like drivers and permit tests), but AAA still offers good, useful services

Corporate speak while in work meetings. And stop saying "bio" and "bio break." Just talk like a person.

 

people like to talk like that because it makes them feel important
