I appreciate that my boss has simply told me never to come in if I'm feeling sick because he doesn't want it. He says to take one of my sick days or simply work from home if I'm feeling up to that. I've never had a job like that until now. And our secretary was ALWAYS coming in sick because of her young kids.

 

Had a sick employee next to our cubes once. He was literally coughing and sneezing every 30 seconds. When he finally left, my boss just let us know how pissed he was at "coughy mcsneezy over there" and reiterated to us to never come into the office while sick

 

I’ve had nearly every coworker come in to work with covid at some point but I have the immune system of a god and haven’t been sick in over 4 years

I feel like only corporate weirdos say slander. Like I can't imagine it being used casually but I might pull it out in an argument though now.

Years ago before covid I went to work sick which in retrospect lol cause it made no difference if I was there or not. I tried to be subtle and pretend I wasn't sick but my boss called me over and was like yeah don't come here if you're sick. That night I took medicine and found out that stuff can actually help! My dad is the type who doesn't go to the doctor unless he's dying and just finally went to the dentist for the first time in like 25 years. He conditioned me to think medicine didn't rly do anything lol. That night I came home and took nyquil and woke up completely fine and was amazed. Unfortunately I've never recovered from subsequent colds so fast again.

 

I quite literally shit my pants today for the first time in as long as I can remember thanks to my colonoscopy prep. Cleaning my couch was very annoying.

 

just bought sheets and didn't realize until after opening the box that they were polyester

 

All liquid diet (basically popsicles, water and broth) plus a full bottle of miralax and 64 oz of water plus 4 ducolax should be a fun time tomorrow.

And then more fun 5 am Monday drinking another 64oz of water with a full bottle of miralax in it until 7 am

 

Saw a woman bring her robe into the movies and I’m gonna have to steal this idea bc it is always so fucking cold in the theater! It’s only 70 degrees out but they have the AC on max power and I hate it!! That’s the worst part about summer, always gotta carry a jacket bc every store has the AC blasting. I’m a freak and keep my AC at like 76 or 77 though sooo lol

 

Ugh same. I went to a theater recently and they were selling blankets. Just make it less cold! Altho I feel the world is catered towards people who run hot

Forgetting something I was going to post in this thread earlier is, in and of itself, a tiny thing that annoys me

 

Took my colonoscopy prep between 4 and 7 and still nothing. Ugh. Gonna be pissed if I have to reschedule. Gotta take another prep from 5-7am tomorrow, hopefully that does it.

Starving because I'm only allowed liquids through tomorrow evening, and man, a full bottle of miralax and having to chug it in a half gallon of water is really nauseating toward the end

 

The dread I’ve started to feel going to work every day

 

When my Bluetooth headphones don’t connect to my phone. I don’t understand how technology works so I don’t get why once every 15ish or so times I turn my headphones on and they don’t connect. All I do is turn them off and turn them back on and then they connect. I don’t do anything different I so don’t understand lol

 

Just when I think everything important is fixed on my house, something else comes up!! Birds have made their way into my attic by tearing out the screening in my gable vents and now I hear baby birds all day long in my kitchen!! I gotta wait for the babies to leave and then hopefully my handyman can fix it. I’m terrified of birds so I’m staying far away lol Being a homeowner can be an absolute nightmare!!

 

This happens to me but on virtual calls. Works almost every time but will have a weird occasion once in a while where it doesn't for literal no reason. And then it just starts working again for no discernable reason.

 

Omg y’all!!! I think a squirrel has now made its way into my attic and it is trying to literally bust through the light above my kitchen sink!! I taped the shit out of the light to try and hold it. Of course like no companies deal with animals in my area so the earliest appointment I could get was tonight at 5-7 and he’s just assessing it and will have to come back later. I’m so scared the squirrel is gonna get through into my house!!

 

Why would a guy wear a bucket hat indoors
