I finally got a new push mower that uses batteries so it was much easier this time. I was using a gas one that was like 15 years old and it took forever to get it to start. I'm also the weakest person in the world so that doesn't help lol But I have allergies and mowing kills me and makes my chest hurt and I feel like I can't breathe. I would love to just replace my grass with some type of ground coverage that doesn't need mowed or just a bunch of flower beds bc I love working in the garden but that is very expensive to do so I guess I'm sticking with the grass!
I hate mowing, but I also hate shoveling, so it is what it is. I prefer being bundled up in a jacket to sweating through a t-shirt, though.
I feel instantly more relaxed anytime I'm somewhere without reception (which I recognize sounds crazy) or anytime I simply turn my notifications off for a half-day or something.
Yeah I tried a new DND setting on my phone the other day because I needed a break from texts and it was still showing me how many unread messages there were, just not who they were from with a preview, so it really didn't do much lol
There are so many people I work with that have a work phone and a personal phone and when we were in the office 5 days a week pre-covid it was hilarious watching people fumble setting all their shit down - laptop, phone, phone, small notebook, drink, etc. and everyone hated having a work phone and yet constantly told me to get one so they could spread their misery. I will never do such a thing. I’ve told my manager any time she asks if I want one that I would never use it or give the number out and it would stay in the box in a drawer somewhere, forgotten about. But if she wants to waste company money, go for it. I say all that because I try to be off my phone as much as possible outside of like a half hour to hour of doomscrolling nightly. My biggest irritation is when I bring it on a run to listen to music and then calls or text pop up and they do so by having just a slight moment of silence from the music so then I begin to wonder if I should look at it or not and suddenly I no longer enjoy anything lol
I don’t fall for it but I’m sure plenty do including my parents - websites that show free shipping as taking like 10 days to get to you but for various amount of money you could get it in 5 days or 2 days. Maybe I’m just lucky with it or live in the right place (small city in Wisconsin? lol) but almost every time I order something online I get it in 2-3 days max, not the 10 the website alleges it will take if I’m cheap and don’t pay for faster shipping. Imagine a lot of people believe the dates they’re given so they pay the extra cost to get it “faster” when it always seems to arrive in the same amount of time without paying for it.
My tax return this year is $12, Turbo Tax charges like $130 so completing my taxes actually lost me $118.
Could you not use the free model? I used to have to pay like $50 for them to do my 1099, so I've been there, but $130 sounds high
I’m sure I clicked on some stupid upgrade as I was doing it as a speed run before bed last night since there’s like 3 days before they’re due lol. At one point I added on some bullshit “max” service thing that I was able to remove but I think it said federal was 65 and state was 75? Usually I never pay attention because I just have it taken off my return but since my return was $11 I had to charge it to an account.
Went on a nice lil jog and the weather was perfect, had good music, but the chafing of my thighs was very unfortunate
