I think I'm getting called into an HR meeting for a complaint against someone I work with who almost definitely said something shitty to a coworker (not sexual) but who otherwise has been 110% more helpful and easier to work with than the coworker he said it to. Ugh
Like I said, he almost definitely said something rude to this co-worker (that may or may not have deserved it in less inappropriate language), but I also wasn't there to hear it and have zero interest in seeing someone I have seen bring genuine value to our workplace lose their job over a slip of the tongue. I don't know. I like to think I have good character, but the fact that I am wrestling with this so much makes me second guess myself and anxiety spiral.
we all make mistakes. if this wasn’t something typical of his character then I might try and see it that way. no one should lose their job for a bad moment like that idk it’s never easy
Thanks for the insight, guys. Appreciate it. This stuff always makes me nervous. Then there's always the off-chance that HR is calling me in for something that ISN'T this. Idk. They said I wasn't in trouble and that they were investigating a complaint, so I'm like 95% sure this is it. Anxiety is a bitch.
Having to fill out performance reviews. No one wants to do them and no one wants to read them. You have an idea of how you think I’m doing, just tell me.
Losing internet all afternoon and my boss telling me I still have to use my time off for it even though there was a huge storm and I can't do anything about it
I asked my mom if she could pick me up to work (sprained ankle, can't drive) at her house tomorrow if I still don't have Internet, and she doesn't have power or Internet haha
seeing posts on Facebook of memes with Denzel in them, with words he almost certainly never said (in a role or irl) there’s so many too
Someone once again sat right beside me at the movies. I think I am cursed or something bc this is the third time this has happened in like 2 months and my theater is never busy for it to be necessary. These people gotta be stopped!! People take the assigned seating too literally. Just move over a seat!
Had this same thing happen to me a few weeks ago. Worst day of “vacation” I can remember. My manager kept asking why I wouldn’t go in to the office to work (I live relatively close by) and I kept having to explain that I needed to trouble shoot a solution and/or go and get new hardware and then trouble shoot so I didn’t have to piss away another of vacation the following day and to trouble shoot and go exchange shit required me to be home to do those things.
Some lawn fertilizer company accidentally treated my lawn instead of my neighbors and I’m so mad!!! I fucking hate mowing and think grass is stupid. I want it to die not grow more lol
A family friend found out after YEARS of paying a monthly lawn company some fee to come treat his grass that they had been going to the wrong address and treating someone else’s lawn. I don’t remember how he finally found out but eventually was on the phone with them on his porch talking to the guy that coordinated all of it and he said, “ok the guys are in your driveway” and the family friend says no one is his driveway and turns on FaceTime and the whole thing and they add the actual folks onsite to the call and he’s irate and telling them they’re at the wrong house and discovers they’ve never been to his house any month after YEARS and the address they were going to was not even close - same city but that’s it lol. I had and still have, a lot of questions. 1) if you never saw changes in your lawn, why keep paying??? 2) why/how did they go to the wrong address (allegedly it was right in the system and they just kept fucking it up?) 3) what did the person at the house getting the treatment think was happening and did they NEVER see this company at their house in their yard? makes me think that for questions 2 & 3 it had to be a family member or someone the company knew and weee pulling a fast one on this brain dead family friend but who knows the truth. But I will never forget hearing that story lol
Or the person saw they were getting lawn treatment for free and kept their mouth shut to see how long it lasted
we bought our house last May and we were given a hand me down mower from my dad that barely worked and made taking care of the yard such a pain that we ended up paying someone to do it the last couple of months of the summer/early fall. but just bought a new battery powered mower and used it for the first time last weekend and it rocked
