The same woman cut my hair my entire life until she moved like 3 years ago and I’m still upset about it!!! She gave me my first haircut ever and was the only person I went to after. She was the best and she only charged $15 and refused to ever raise her price for me bc i was like family she said. I still haven’t found a replacement. It’s hard to find someone who actually knows how to deal with curly hair so I’m still looking but I feel like no one will ever be as good as Gayle was!

 

I had a hair person i loved in my hometown. Took me forever to find someone I like. She was the salon owner and had my hair stuff down and I knew whenever I'd go she'd get me in and out the door in exactly 30 minutes. But then she got covid and canceled on me and never rescheduled but said she was rescheduling everyone and I have a big sense of rejection all the time so instead of being normal and just reaching out myself, I stopped going because I convinced myself that was her way of dropping me as a client.

And then I moved anyway. Still haven't found anyone I absolutely love. And everyone else takes 2-3x longer to do my hair. Always over an hour and it's miserable to me. I hate getting my hair done and/or doing my hair

 

The Great Clips by me gets the job done.

 

My cousin who is a stylist has a sister that lives 14 hours away round trip by car and there’s really only one way to get to/from her home and she makes that fucking boring ass drive every six weeks so her sister can cut her hair. And she’s been doing this for decades. Literally drives here to get her haircut and then drives home the next day. Absolutely insane to me.

 

Almost every night I put moisturizer on my face but then realize I'm thirsty and want a gaterade or to refill my water bottle but my hands are too slick with moisturizer to open the lid. Every time. I never learn. Smh.

This is insane, but I also like the idea of having a little built-in road trip every other month for myself

 

Company I work for merged with another company and they started using a new company for payroll. I’ve had 2 paychecks with them and they have managed to mess up both checks. First check they weren’t taking any state taxes out. Got that fixed but 2nd check shows a life insurance policy when I never signed up for life insurance! Not off to a good start at all!!

 

“Low income” should be based off what you make a year not monthly. On paper the government thinks I make “too much” and that too much can just be anywhere from $1 to a few hundred which really isn’t anything compared to cost of living. Let’s start helping people more instead of making them struggle

when you take away discounts and benefits away from people who don’t make much more than they did with them, you’re making them spend more money and suffering more

 

I swear 5-6 pm goes faster than the rest of the day (although 7ish - 8 am is also up there). I’m just about to shut down work for the day and an email or call or message or something distracts me and before I know it it’s 5:30 or later or some shit.

so, I’ve since decided I’m not looking at any new emails or chats after 4 pm and not answering any calls unless I know it’s someone who’s not gonna be making work for me. How I didn’t come to this solution sooner boggles my own mind.

 

When u think the hold music pausing means they're answering but it's just a break before the music loops again

 

When have flowers delivered for your mom's birthday but their cat steals them as their own

 

I fail to see the problem those are their flowers your mom will understand

 

When me and my bf order food I get a diet/zero soda and he gets a regular one and sooooo often they don't press the bubble down on the cup lid or tell us which is which and when I ask, they act like I have two heads l Iike it's an unreasonable question

Edit: I know we can taste test them but I can't tell the difference between zero sodas, and the fake sugar in the zeros and diets make my bf sick!

 

I also hate when the clip of music is only a few seconds so it becomes even more irritating with each passing minute and/or when the automated voice says, “thank you for holding your call is very important to us and we will be with you shortly” every 5-10 seconds. Just play music!

 

Heartburn / acid reflux

it took me like 5-10 minutes to find a specific allergy medicine at Walgreens because both sides of the aisle were cold and allergy, just what you want when you feel sick to also be overwhelmed

plus there are like a thousand cereals and snacks and sometimes you wind up with a bad one

 

Them never answering when I'm anticipating it makes me so anxious lol

 

I get fashion tiktoks and it'll be someone unboxing like outfits they ordered and lead up to like they're gonna try it on but they never show the try on. Obv to get everyone to go their next video which is whatever, but what's annoying is in the comments people will be complaining how they didn't try it on and the creator will be like "wow okay I'll post another video trying them on tee hee had no idea people would want to see me wearing them so badly!" Like sis why are you lying tho cause u know that's what people wanna see stop playing cute!

This applies to any video where they don't show the finished product when there's plenty of time to do so!

 

Waze not taking me on the route I want. I was coming home from a friends and it only gave me one route when there’s very well two different highways to get there. I wanted the one that was more lit because it was night. But no, the only option it gave me was down single lane roads both directions in pitch black where I can’t fucking see

 

Maybe an x-post with the Mental Health Thread, but my brother asked me to watch his three cats, two dogs, and fish last minute today throughout the week and I can't think of anything I want to do less. Don't get me wrong, the idea of having a house full of animals to myself is kinda great, but it totally fucks up my routine for the next four days without any warning. I have to figure out the closest bus stop to get me to work in the morning, figure out meals, and leave my wife with a bunch of housework when she doesn't get home until 8pm. And I know people might scoff at this, but I really struggle with stinky dogs.

Idk. I had an anxiety attack this morning because I just don't feel like I have the bandwidth for anything besides work right now due to work, and this feels like so much to take on without preparation. I also feel like I can't really say no. I just wish they would have given this further thought than the day they are supposed to leave.

 

Literally after I bought a fire stick from target, the 4k one went on sale on Amazon for cheaper than the one I got -.-

edit: maybe Amazon did that on purpose. Like they saw me register it to my account and evil laughed and put the 4k one on sale. Like the 4k one doesn’t matter to me, but I’m on a budget and if it was cheaper then I would have got it
