I have an interview coming up and thought for sure it would be in person but idk where the hiring manager lives so maybe that’s why it’s on Teams video but ugh I hate being on camera on Teams, I’d much rather be in person. So hard to get a read on the vibe of the person/conversation over video imo

 

I did my current job interview thru teams video and out of absolutely nowhere my sister's cat just freaked out and started attacking the carpet and made cat noises like in movies when they're walking thru an alleyway and a feral cat is meowing and screeching. I was like wtfffff I've never seen this cat do anything like this before. I like to think they saw me adapt and recover with finesse tho lol. But yeah video can be so awkward

 

lol I love imagining something like that. Growing up with cats they can make the most demon-sounding noises that travel through any space so I’m chuckling at wondering what the people on the other end thought lol

this is gonna sound egotistical or bizarre but I feel like when I’m in person with people for the first time I’m much better than on a call or video. I know my legs are just legs but like, I feel like I have more energy and enthusiasm when I can move around a bit and not look odd or move too much and suddenly be out of the entire goddamn camera shot lol. Just gonna have to try and do a bunch of practice to make sure I feel more comfortable than now and test out my sound and visuals. I’ve been on video before with folks I’ve worked with for years so I never gave a shit what was in the background or if the heat kicked on and for all I know that drowned my voice out, etc.

even though I was recommend for the job I’m not thinking that I have a step ahead of any competition. Treating this like I applied out of the blue on my own. But I really want this position because I’m so fucking sick of half the people I work with in my current position so I desperately want out.

I hate it when I read something interesting in the news and then later on I try to talk about it with people and I can't articulate it well at all. I know I know it, but when it comes time to discuss it my brain can only spit out 10% of it and none of it makes sense lol.

 

my companey got bought out a while back and the new ownership made us switch to the workday app which refuses to work on my phone. so basically cant request time off, call out or see my stubs. after browsing reddit to troubleshoot i can see im not the only who thinks its a dogshit app but my specific issue seems to be one of a kind so cant even get help

 

My company had a lot of issues when we switched to workday too. I finally got mine to work on my phone but I had to download the app on my phone and login on my laptop and then do a QR code scan or something to get it to work. But we've had so many issues I think our union has filed a complaint. It's especially awful when I try to find a required training on there. The search function is basically useless

My mom invited me over for pizza and to watch a movie and I’ve ate my pizza and popcorn and we still haven’t watched a movie bc she has spent the entire time trying to find a show she started but can’t remember where she was watching it. I said can you just find it another night so we can watch a movie? But nope, gotta do it right now! She can’t remember the name, who is in it, or the plot lmao kill me!!! She does this all the time too!

 

Workday is the worst. Never really understood how to request time off so I just emailed my manager saying I was having trouble and asked her to do it whenever i needed time.

 

I’ll never understand the disrespect people have when pulling into an apartment complex in the middle of the night blasting music for everyone to hear. Like do you think it makes you look cool. Because You’re not cool. You’re annoying and everyone hates you.

 

I hate washing my hair. I wash it about once a week and without fail every wash day I'm whining and acting like a toddler who doesn't want to get in the bath and I dread it. And then I wash it and am like oh it's not that bad. Then next week I'm like nooooo let me just be a grungey sewer monster

I just really hate the feeling of loose wet hair between my fingers. Maybe I should just get a haircut lol.

 

You can get a house with that many rooms for only $400k!? That'll get you a shitty two bedroom that hasn't been renovated in 20 years where I live lol

 

When the drawstring of your pants somehow finds its way to come nearly all the way out.
I have a pair of jogger that did that and it went past this seam and I can’t for the life of me get it back through. So now I’m being forced to remove the entire drawstring completely

 

Barber at the shop I've been going to for the past like 8 months randomly quit the night before I had an appointment. He did a great job with my hair and I really I liked chatting with him since we had a lot in common, which is rare for me since I'm an introvert. I'm also super anxious about new people cutting my hair so having to find a new person once again really sucks. I'd go to the same shop with one of the other people there but no one has openings now because they book out like a month in advance.

 

Mine quit like 8 years ago and I've been adrift ever since

 

I get a haircut once a year now and haven't had the same barber twice for like six years. Might go back to the same guy who cut it last year though.

 

I kinda love SportsCuts even though I don't love sports and the whole masculine haircut thing is really silly. I mostly love the shoulder massager and hot towel treatment. Been having my wife cut my hair to save money lately, though. She does a pretty good job for never having cut hair before.

 

I had an appointment for a haircut on Friday and the lady that I always go to never showed up and didn't call out so I'm pretty sure they fired her. They let me come in the next morning and comped my haircut, but the lady totally fucked it up and gave me something way too close to the alt-right undercut. I'm super bummed.

 

It's great to have a hair stylist for a fiance. Haven't gone to a salon in probably 9 years

 

I’ve probably posted this before but my cousin is a stylist which is great because there’s no awkward conversation with a stranger who may not know what they’re doing but I pay for that, literally, with her working at some fancy place that costs an insane amount. Granted I haven’t gotten a haircut in over 3 years but still, eventually I will and the price will bother me lol

 

I was worried when I moved to a new neighborhood but literally the closest barber to my apartment like a few minutes walking is great. It works out better because the other barber I was going to had a lady working for him that didn't do as well but I always felt bad asking to wait for him so I normally just let her cut it lol

 

I roll the dice with great clips and 2 out of 3 times it’s acceptable.
