Just had an hour conversation about something one of our onshore people works weekly. It’s 10-15 accounts weekly and takes her 2 hours at most. We are now going to spend the next several months creating pathways and doing training for offshore so they can take on the process which will just result in them sending us all these accounts as clarifications in the end because they won’t know what they’re doing.

 

Love when the company outsourcing something actually means more work for you. One of the many reasons I quit my last job.

 

I’ve had a callus on my big toe for a long time. My wife pulled it off and a huge chunk of skin came off on the bottom of my toe.
It’s bleeding and throbbing now.

I wish she didn’t touch the toe.

 

I signed up for regal unlimited bc I thought it would help get me out of the house but the 2 theaters within 30 mins of my house never get any new movies it seems like. Basically anything that is a limited run, I would have to drive over an hour to go see which as someone who hates driving, I’m not doing that!! I really hate this area. It’s a constant struggle just trying to find anything fun to do! I’m sick of sitting in my house!

 

The bs at my work continues to piss me off. To the point where I don’t even want to go in anymore. I don’t plan on staying another 6 months. I cant do it. I told myself almost a year ago I’d leave by March. It’s almost a year later and I’m still stuck. The hard part was there was several factors that made it hard to find another place to work at the time

 

Got called out at work by the Dean for not letting our Chair know I would be out of work yesterday, but it's been on my calendar and written on my door for weeks!

 

My office being too goddamn hot all the time

 

Today I was at a red light and used my blinker to indicate a right hand turn. Except almost immediately I realized I wanted to go straight instead and turned it off. Which infuriated the car behind me. They kept honking at me over and over like I couldn't hear them but I didn't want to turn anymore! And it's not like I was in a right turn lane or anything blocking traffic. I could see them waving their hands around in the air and they honked at me until the light turned green and I went straight and they turned right. It was so unhinged.

Theaters showing the runtime of a movie in total minutes instead of hours and minutes. Stop making me do the math!

 

Plus I always gotta add on 25 minutes to the runtime for previews

Also when I was here the other week there were these little teenage girls running around goofing off. The store was busy too.

plus side the Halloween candy is a fair discount and no one appears to buy the Reese’s cups so there’s plenty left for me

edit: there were no cart wipes left. It’s like after covid no one cares anymore to keep them stocked

 

Currently in a faculty meeting and the professor next to me is in ANOTHER virtual meeting with the volume up just loud enough that I can also hear it and it's so distracting

 

Insane behavior

 

I had my handyman out to fix my leaky sink. He basically said he had replaced everything that can be replaced so if it leaks again, it’s the sink and I need a new one. It’s leaking again and now in 2 spots. I’m so overwhelmed. I just wish my dad or uncle would take 10 mins to just look at it and help me out but they only can make time for my brother and not me so not happening!! Now I’m gonna have to have my handyman back out. why did I buy a house?????

 

Can I add onto your Target complaints?

If employees could stop leaving carts full of merchandise everywhere blocking aisles that would be great.

I feel like an old man yelling at cloud, but customer service has gone way downhill everywhere over the last couple of years. I worked retail for a decade and we were always taught don't block aisles, make sure customers can shop, don't create fire hazards, and made sure wheelchairs can navigate and shop displays. Some of those are straight up laws that can get them fined, but that shit happens constantly now and its so annoying.

 

when you think about it, it really is an astonishing amount of time. A quarter of the movie in ads is insane. Though as I type this I guess a half hour TV show is 33% ads. At least I can skip ads in the theater tho.

 

Essentially all things lightbulbs.

- why are there so many options?
- how is the 40-ft long shelf of lightbulbs organized?
- why do lamps or other things that require lightbulbs not show at least line art on the box of what it looks like so I know which plug-type of the 35 options to choose from?

 

Today i was at Wal Mart and it was like 8:00am and they were stocking a lot cause it wasn't busy which is fine but the workers kept cutting me off. Idk how to say it when we're walking instead of driving lol but they would like dart in front of me causing me to stop suddenly instead of just waiting 2 seconds for me to pass. I get that they're prob pressured and trying to work fast and am annoyed I'm in their way and I don't fault them for that but it happened like at least 4 times from different employees and I felt v overstimulated and uncomfortable cause my personal space felt continuously violated


Also they didn't have self check out open so I had to go to a cashier and he kept coughing into his hand and then when he scanned my protein drinks he grabbed each one by the lid with his coughed in hand and I legit died inside.

 

I have a headache that has not gone away since this morning

 

My ass would have commented on the fact he coughed in his hand and then touched my items

 

Busy intersection and the light is green for like 3 seconds

 

The Costco near me has one entrance and it literally gets so badly backup because of everyone getting gas. I nearly had an anxiety attack coming here last time on a Sunday so I avoided it but I can’t because I ran out of something so I can’t wait and omfg people are stupid af literally stopping in the middle of the drive path, lazy ass mf leaving shopping carts everywhere and people just stopping wherever they want

 

There's a guy at my gym I see sometimes and he always like talk sings/raps aloud and I can't tell if he's just trying to make everyone else leave by acting weird but I'm determined to stand my ground. But it's so weird and annoying. It's an apartment gym so no gym staff to complain to. Maybe I should start singing too and scare him off
