Over the shoulder shots in TV shows and movies where the character is talking, but you can see that their mouth is either not moving or their lips aren't synced up with the audio of their voice. It's all I can ever focus on! Takes me out of everything haha
when you order a vinyl/t-shirt bundle and it's $40 so you think wow that's pretty reasonable and turns out you just ordered the t-shirt which sucks because you'd never spend $40 on just a t-shirt, that's dumb as hell
When someone sends an all-staff email that is so obviously an accident and wasnt meant for everyone, and then like 10 people feel the need to reply all being like "my job title is X and I think you sent this in error. What do you expect me to do with this? Please stop sending this to me!" Which is so much more annoying to me than the original email that was by mistake. Use context clues and ignore it.
this happens where I work a few times a year. And it will go on for 10-12 hours straight. Suddenly there are 65,000 replies saying, “I don’t think this was meant for me” and 65,000 other replies, “shut the fuck up! It was clearly a mistake! Just delete and move on!”
In keeping with the spirit of that annoyance - when people don’t respond to the last email in a chain. It fucking tells you “this is not the latest reply” so maybe the stupid ass question you’re about to type, was answered in the email you didn’t see yet. Let’s check that first before hitting send, yeah?
not the same thing, but I recently had a work higher-up *twice* CC me on communications about an employee’s impending firing. Simply tagged the wrong Jason, which is silly bc I have a very unique and recognizable last name and our email is just our name lol
Holy fuck this. I have someone at work who doesn’t actually reply to emails, she responds in a separate email every time. Makes it a nightmare keeping track of what we’re discussing.
Ok real thread answer: don’t like how live albums/compilations/deluxe editions/etc are all mixed with studio catalogues in Apple Music (and I’m assuming every service). Hate asking siri to play something and not knowing which I’m gonna get. And god forbid an album has a titular track bc that’s all you’re getting. Or going through the Albums tab and having to sort through all the above to get the studio release.
In a similar vein with the email talk I have one client that I need to always contact 3 people when I’m emailing them and everyone of those 3 people doesn’t reply all so then I get all 3 of them answering the same question or responding to me and telling me to ask one of the people I already included on the original email. Drives me crazy.
I’m running into this with a new software/service(?) we’re using called SalesForce. No idea if that’s new or super common, but the company wants ALL correspondence in there, but if someone responds and sends it directly to my personal email, and takes the SalesForce email address off the rely, then it doesn’t get logged in the system unless I catch that and add the email back on for my reply. It’s fucking nightmare and typical middle management red tape bullshit and I’ve almost fully refused to correct the “error” because I’d rather have it in my Outlook and not need to use a totally different software/server to find shit.
There’s been garbage sitting in front of my apartment for a week. I feel like it’s not being picked up on purpose. Why I think that…because the messy lazy guy upstairs started worked as maintenance. I found out because I saw him driving the golf cart. And I didn’t notice for the past month maybe his work van isn’t parked in his spot anymore and his fancy new sports car is there. Also he’s not smoking on his balcony anymore. I really hate complaining to the leasing office. Either way he doesn’t pick up is fucking trash. If it’s there Friday I’m complaining
My wife is sleeping but has a podcast playing and the host’s voice is driving me crazy. The quality of the recording isn’t very good so all the “S” sounds sound like “Sh.” Haha it’s the worst.
I've complained about it a million times but this apartment complex is so fucking noisy. Someone is hammering away upstairs in the apartment above me, someone is mowing the grass, someone else is weed whacking, they're doing construction on the road in front of the apartment with these loud ass machines. It's like this every single day.
I can sympathize for sure, the walls in my building are paper thin. You can literally hear people talking in the apartment next door lol. I'm just grateful I'm in the top floor so I don't have to listen to people above me
In regards to emailing. People will send out mass emails to everyone just announcing new hires or something simple and then put in the bottom of the email, "Please remember to not Reply All" because it pisses off the CEO when people Reply All. Without fail a dozen people still Reply All with "congratulations" or whatever. Like they haven't figured out you can just BCC everyone in the initial email and eliminate the issue. Annoys me even more because they hired me to do internal communications and I should be the only one sending out companywide emails and I would eliminate the issue immediately.
I also hate that my boss will write everything in the subject line and leave the body blank or reply to an email from earlier in the day, but talking about a completely different subject.
I did something like that once when I was new to corporate America. We're an international company with thousands of employees. Woops lol. Lesson learned though, haven't done that in years.
