It sucks because I’m really good at it, I just don’t like it hahaha

 

Can’t stand FaceTime. It’s one thing if it’s a scheduled call with someone I haven’t seen in a while but if you try to FaceTime me out of the blue I’m declining immediately. I’m still scarred from my time working as a substitute teacher when all the kids would just FaceTime each other in the middle of class with no headphones or anything. The dial tone still gives me nightmares.

 

Do you stare creepily into the lense for eye contact?
I'm usually too distracted at trying to watch my eyes move and blink.

Exactly, staring into the camera is WAY too intense, but then staring at the face of person that’s staring down at their phone also feels weird? I usually tend to just look off into the distance or something, like I have some other stuff going on with a higher bid for my attention

 

I have to tell you guys something: the person you’re chatting with literally doesn’t care at all where you’re looking


Bc they’re more concerned with where they’re looking

 

So what's the courtesy time frame until you call them back? 2 hours? mf is probably at lunch

I hate looking at mine too which is why I have to stare at it constantly during video chats to make sure I don't look like garbage more than usual

 

I avoid my face as much as possible lol

When someone FaceTimes me and it’s not specific to work to show them something I just set the phone down so they see the ceiling. You don’t need to see me while we’re talking and I sure as shit have no interest in seeing you so ceiling it is
