My mom is starting to reach that age where I worry about her getting her identity or accounts stolen. She has a Costco membership and apparently today, in the app, she had to answer questions to confirm it was her. One question asked her what city a random street was in - not the street she lived on or has ever lived on. Second question asked her what color her make and model of car was. She has never had any oil changes or anything done at Costco (don’t even know if that’s a thing) and nothing in her account has that info listed. Doesn’t it seem odd that Costco would know this? And it wasn’t phrased as “what color is your car?” It asked what color her Make/Model was. It irritated me that she answered and doesn’t see it as a big deal but either someone is selling info to companies or something seems off to me. Has anyone ever been asked that by any company other than a vehicle maintenance business?
When people are late to work calls/meetings. My boss is 13 mins late to my call so far and I'm just chilling with my headset on haha. Probably not his fault though, looks like he's wrapped up in another meeting.
When people think they can get you to change a company policy or make an exception for them if they ask enough times
That in Chicago, there are overhead heaters at our train stops that are switched on during late fall and typically shut off at the end of March, but the weather isn’t consistently warm here until, like, mid-May.
We have this new girl at the front desk who been here for a few months but still doesn’t do things correct. The amount of times I brought something to her attention and it’s not corrected. Also keeps double booking the schedule so bad that we run behind and go home late all the time. On top of that my manager rushes me to get things done in a non ideal amount of time. She also doesn’t listen to what I have to say. It’s really frustrating. This has happened to my previous co worker. The same thing. Like I’m so ready to leave. I have to get a few things together first and I’m hopefully gonna start that this weekend
When there’s a show I really want to watch, but it’s on a streaming service that I don’t want to watch anything else on. I’m not paying $10/month for one show, but I have bad FOMO now
My bathroom is an absolute disaster. My shower has glass doors. I hated them and wanted them gone but last night I went to get a shower. The doors kept coming off the track as always so as I was trying to fix them, the entire top rail fell off and both doors basically fell on me. Turns out the rail was just laying on top and the doors weren't even in the track right at all. So I took them out which let me tell you, not easy to do that by yourself!! They are HEAVY and I was basically trapped in the shower lmao I had to try to support 2 doors and get the top rail out of the way and I was afraid one of the doors would fall and I'd have glass everywhere. I somehow managed it. So I had to go to my mom's and get a shower until I get a shower curtain. Cut to this morning. It's hotter outside then I expected so I went to wear shorts. Realized I haven't shaved my legs in forever so I decide I should do that. Realize oh yeah, no shower doors. A normal shower that wouldn't be a problem. But my shower even if you are just trying to draw water, water still comes out the shower head and gets everywhere! So then I had to shave my legs using just my sink. But my sink is partially clogged and just brushing your teeth fills it up with water. So now I have a sink full of water, a shower I can't use, and I'm exhausted and it's not even 11 a.m.
This. My grandparents were guilty of this and always so confused why they were getting food poisoning all the time lol.
100% we’re all just people and I’ve never understood this idea that you’re any better than someone simply because they’re wearing a uniform and serving you. that’s some truly monkey brained shit to me
My work has a really big parking lot and people just cut through and weave their cars in and out and don't pay attention and it's so stressful
