some jackass has been being a tool in the Fall Out Boy thread. It's very 2007 and I'm just not here for it.
I waited until about 230. Apparently they took walk-ins before my appointment. So annoying. Didn’t even get a courtesy call. I had to call and follow up
Someone used some tool to punch out the key hole on my car and then absolutely shredded the ignition trying to steal it. It’s an Elentra so I don’t know if it was one of those dumbass tik tok challenges or what. so dumb, I never leave anything in there. They got about $8 and I’ll have to pay like $500 and not have a car for a minute. This is the 4th time my car has been broken into and in total the thieves have got $8 and my license one time. That’s it. *eye roll* At least I still have the car I guess
Sucks dude, I caught some guy trying to start my car after hijacking the key fob signal to unlock it. Cops of course came in super obviously so he just ran and they made me feel dumb for not having a ring camera lol
Damn stealing the key fob signal? That’s wild. Super annoying for them to kinda push the blame off on you. I didn’t even call the cops I know they won’t do shit here. I’ve been fantasizing about catching them in the act all morning haha of course that rarely actually happens
Worst part is it’s an issue Honda is aware of and had basically said they’re not doing anything about it. Luckily mine wasn’t push to start cause they can even start those cars
My complaint with my Honda is that the cord for both Android Auto and Apple Carplay (I've tried both) seems to be fucked up and if I accidentally give a phone a minor bump, it disconnects from the car and I have to unplug and plug it back in
The cops here seem to just not be involved in anything at all which is uhhhh..not good either haha. I do not like cops but it shouldn’t be a “known” thing that you can try to steal someone’s car with no repercussions that’s kinda scary
Sounds like it. I believe it’s the Hyundai and the Kia that people are doing that too. I thought about getting a Hyundai. Now after hearing all these horror stories I’m glad I didn’t
i drive an elantra too man something always worried about that shit too. only thing that makes me feel a little better is mine is a noticeably older model and chronically unwashed so hopefully less eye catching to would be thieves.
I live in Wisconsin, near Milwaukee and I think they said like 60% of all vehicle thefts the last two years or something have been Kia’s and Honda’s. Kia’s and something because of the USB hacking issue. Fucking crazy that it’s that big of a percentage and a few other cities are super high up there too (believe Minneapolis and Cleveland were mentioned, or Pittsburgh)
