when I worked at Home Depot the one dude that was in his 60s would lift anything and everything with terrible form and was always fine. We were grabbing 16 foot 6x6’s and I was struggling because they’re heavy as fuck and he was just throwing them onto the pallet no problem telling me to hurry up. Dude was a nut.
Have received close to 10 phone calls from the same incompetent scammers this morning. The call from a different fake number every time and ask for “Piper”. Every time I pick up I tell them it’s the same guy and they just say oh shit and hang up. If I ignore the call they leave a message with a southern sounding guy talking about owed money. It would be funny if they didn’t keep blowing me up. I get a lot of calls from random numbers for my job and have to pick it up.
our in-office day today was a shit show as everyone was in town so I kept my office door closed for 99% of the day and yet 10 different people just came on in. No knock, no “oh sorry!” just opened up like it was their fucking office. And then at the end of the day I walked past a coworker and she goes, “whoa! Looks like you’ve had a frustrating day!” and all I could think was - THIS IS JUST MY NORMAL GODDAMN FACE lol pretty bold or oblivious to say such a statement to someone you’ve known for any length of time but this person I’ve known for maybe 6 weeks.
Food packaging that claims to be re-sealable. I mean, I’ll just roll it up and put it in a ziplock or put a rubber band around it so no biggie but the bag of chicken tenders I just opened literally doesn’t have anything that can be sealed lol it’s just, the typical bag
Still living in your hometown in your mid 30's and your social circle is still all the same people you have known since you were 15 whose idea of being social is still just going to the same dive bars all the time and doing coke. Townie life is tiring.
I am "friends with someone whose family has a local park named for them" and " I went to high school with the guy our VFW Hall is named in tribute after" levels of townie.
I've said it before, but people who don't have boundaries. Specifically when single friends (of which I have many who are very understanding) don't get that life is a little different when you have a partner. "It seems like you always have chores to do" Yeah, I do. Because I own a house with my wife. It doesn't mean I can't hang out, but it does mean there are some days where I just gotta go home and clean/cook/rest/whatever for her and myself. And I'm okay with that. It's nothing personal.
they're working on the apartment above mine and it's loud as fuck and I work from home and they didn't warn me about it
