I'm always paranoid I'm gonna forget and miss a weekend on call shift. My shift is today 5pm-8am and I just have to turn the volume up on my work phone in case they call me in. I got my phone and turned the volume up at 4:30pm and saw I had a missed call from the on call supervisor at like 1pm with no voicemail or text. Now I'm all paranoid I was mistaken about my shift time even tho I have checked my confirmation email like 4 times lol. They prob just needed someone extra earlier and called to see if I happened to be available but I'm now convinced the world is ending.

 

Alexa suddenly starts babbling to me that a book by an author I guess I follow on Amazon is having a deal today on one their books. Somehow smart enough to alert to me this news but not smart enough to know that I bought said book like a year ago, on Amazon, so like, she should know.

My phone just started screeching with an Amber Alert or Silver Alert or something along those lines. Thought I had turned all those alerts off since it’s loud and frightening as SHIT but the true annoyance was that the city the missing person is from is roughly 8 hours away from me.

 

not sure if you can REALLY turn those off because they're important but i might be wrong

 

So “Public Safety Alerts” was still on, the rest were off, but the alert wasn’t for safety, definitely thought it was an Amber alert but who knows. Most surprised I remembered how to get to this screen lol

 

when Amazon says shipping now for like 8 hours. ya sure about that?

 

Landlord painting the outside of my apartment now I am afraid to go outside and fucking up their taping job.they taped up my windows, I don't know if they taped up my door too.

 

I did self clean on my oven but now I wanna go to the store and get lunch but I feel like I can't cause the self clean made my smoke alarm go off and i dont want it to go off again when im gone. I turned self clean off and it's on cool down now but idk when it's safe to leave

 

I saw something on tik tok from an appliance repair tech that you don’t want to use the self clean on the oven and that’s how peoples houses catch on fire. Be careful

 

I’ve read it’s bad because of all the carbon from how hot it gets.

 

I cut my thumb pretty deep and the band aid prevents me from typing on my phone on that hand and using my thumb sensor to unlock my phone

 

This guy on my fb…idk how to describe him. Desperate seeking attention? In his early 30s, twice divorced with kids from both baby mammas. Asking people for a place to stay because he just moved back. Also he’s posting “sexy” female celeb photos. Not only is that low key cringey and weird especially at his age. But gain with the people looking over my shoulder thing even tho I’m not the one posting it

 

Went to the movies last night and was surrounded by a supremely annoying crowd. Guy on my left, I could hear every crunch and slurp during the movie, and the person behind us must have dropped $10 in change at three different points during the movie, in addition to their phone. Get ahold of yourselves, people!

 

Someone I know from high school posted 9 times on Instagram last night. Only one photo on 8 of the 9 posts.

Why does everything decide to break when you have no money???? Of course the battery light is flashing in my car. Hope it's just the battery and not the alternator but I really can't afford either! Hope my tax return gets here soon bc I need it!!! It's been pending for a week.

 

I don’t see myself using “cringe” as an adjective, but that’s personal preference. If others do it, that’s cool; I think it’s neat to witness how culture shapes language over time. Plus I don’t want to be Abe Simpson yelling at a cloud.

I failed to utilize proper lifting techniques while I was at work on Saturday and I'm still paying for it today
