Trying to file a damage claim with FedEx for my job

 

Putting in an offer on a house and then waiting for an answer from the seller

 

Hope it works out for you! We had a house we looked at this weekend and was getting ready to schedule and inspection and all that only to find out someone paid cash over asking on Monday…

 

Can't believe that's still happening. Nuts. I don't think that's what's gonna happen with us but who knows. I'm sorry you had to deal with that!

 

It’s all good, we’re in Oregon and that’s still happening quite a bit, this one was just hella dope lol

 

Annoyed that my fiance had to take multiple migraine meds that even her doc knew wouldn't work because it was the only way to get insurance approval of the actual med she should be on, and they ended up only approving 8 pills for the month. $948 for those 8 pills if it weren't for insurance

 

I hope the person from the boygenius thread doesn’t come in here and start defending the health insurance companies in the US.

 

House hunting is truly a soul crushing experience, I feel for y’all. I’ve got some stories but by far the worst was last year when we were trying to buy — we had a really flexible realtor that would go look at houses for us and either FaceTime or send videos since weren’t in the state. About 4-5 months into the hunt, a house popped up that we really liked a lot, and our realtor was super responsive about it very quickly so we thought we’d get the jump on it. The seller was only accepting walk through by appointment, no open house, and wouldn’t let just our realtor in — the buyer had to be there. So we stuck my girlfriend on a plane to Oregon for like $700 the next day and when they got there, the tenant (house was a rental) would not let them in. Simply refused any more viewings because she felt like it lol. Stood in the window and stared at them until they left the property and the seller couldn’t legally do anything about it. So we lost the house!

This is why I use a custom launcher on my phone that lets me take backups of my home screen

 

Anyone remember when you were a kid and lost your baby teeth and you’d dig your nail into the tooth right at the gum line to loosen it? Anyway, every time I get something stick and I pick at my tooth, I feel like that’s going to happen even tho I know that’s not how it works. Like I think the crown of my tooth will spontaneously fracture at the gumline because I poked at it

 

Tiktok keeps showing me ads for kitty litter but I don't have a cat. Pretty sure I've never looked up anything about cats before. But now I'm typing the word so they'll prob keep doing it. But for an app that's spying on me they're not doing a v good job.

 

I'm never on time to work (sorry work overlords) and was finally set to be on time today but got stuck behind a school bus that stopped for kids every other block. Ended up about 5 min late which is better than usual but I was so close yet so far!!!

 

Car inspections and not knowing whether you’ll pass or need a wildly expensive repair

 

Too true. My last car was a 97 and failed every damn time.

When I got my new car inspected, I gave the mechanic a sigh of relief and said how glad I was to actually pass and he rolled his eyes at me and said "dude, your car has 11k miles on it. You're good." I'm not used to having a reliable car lol.

 

Yeah I’m getting mine inspected on Monday and I’m 98% sure I’m going to need tires.

 

I get it at the dealer and they're always like we recommend you giving us $400 we won't tell you why and I decline and they get mad

 

I've been going to VIP Tires for years and they've always treated me very fairly and only charge $35

 

You guys are getting your cars inspected?

 

I used to just get used tires for dirt cheap, if they failed inspection. And then I'd go in and get the inspection done, pass, and then save up for better tires.
