Bro, you mean we aren’t meant to be best buds just cause we work in the same place?

I hate that, my boss is like that. He always wants to grab drinks or whatever cause he’s single and whenever I do go out with him all he talks about is work

 

Pre-Saving things

 

Driving in the dark during a torrential downpour. I couldn't see shit outside. Thank God I finally cleaned the inside of my windshield over thanksgiving for a little more clarity while driving

 

Coworkers that say to new coworkers “welcome to the family!”

we are not a family. We are coworkers. Maybe acquaintances and for a select few maybe even friends but we are not family.

 

Houses with Christmas lights but they only have all red or all green. It doesn’t look festive and always looks spooky and more like Halloween lighting lol

 

If it was my first day at a new job and my coworkers said “welcome to the family”, I’d think I was in a cult.

 

this but all white lights. that’s not festive to me.

 

Yes I despise all white lights. On trees, on houses, bushes, etc

 

Usually it feels like companies that try to press the “we’re a family” catchline are the worst to work for because they use that a crutch / guilt trip for getting people to do more than their hired job

 

Especially nonprofits

 

I have to keep these specific kinds of locks in stock at my warehouse at work

Each lock assembly has 7 different components

When I order these locks from the vendor, each of these 7 components are packaged separately, so I then have to open each of these packages and assemble the locks myself

It's really dumb!

lol yeah last time I ordered these I came in on a Saturday and got some OT

 

The fact that my rent went up nearly $200 a month so I’m paying close to $1600 for a shitty small one bed apt. Also my work isn’t paying me what I deserve and I’ve asked for a raise.
