I’ve said this before I’m sure, but I’ve learned over the years to never ask more than one question in an email. The email could literally be “Hey, question 1, question 2” and only the first question gets answered. Literally no one ever answers more than one question in an email and drives me mad. The number of times I’ve put info in an email, had them respond asking for info I put in the first email and literally just copied and pasted and sent and then get “ok thanks!”. Ugh.
Getting roped into an 8 hour call at work out of nowhere due to an application issue and having someone who isn't even a software engineer try to own the entire conversation as if he knows what's going on. Couldn't ask for help either because I'm the only engineer on the team who works Fridays and all of my higher ups went on vacation lol
Oh also my bf likes all the smart voice tech stuff and I swear he does this on purpose but he's obsessed with efficiency and once in a while he'll decide to rename all the lights or rename the smart home device thing itself and it's so confusing. It's like always as soon as I learn them all he changes them. Idk how to turn off this lamp so it's just been on all day in broad daylight idc!!!
Makeup the has packaging where it doesn’t show the shade. ie I was in target looking for a quick powder foundation and some of the ones like one of the elf ones, you can’t see the actual shade unless you break the seal and open it. also most of these powder foundations have talc as the first ingredient!
my gf is the same way, gotta use my iPhone to turn of the lamp or else she’s like I can’t turn the lamp on with my phone what happened??
anytime I fly(which is once every 3 years or so) I’m like “oh this is gonna be fun!” Then 2 minutes into the airport I remember how much it fucking sucks.
30 minutes to the flight I got totally claustrophobic and panicky like I knew would happen lol and then once I had a Coke and some airplane cookies I settled in although my connecting flight was delayed three hours and I think I’m going to be sitting in this fucking plane waiting to de-board that entire time, we’ve been sitting at a standstill for about 45 minutes. Good thing we got here early! And of course I always say, “I will never fly again!” and I gotta brace for flights in October and again in December and then February and then… eeesh
yeah I can only fly after about 3 beers lol. I’ve been better lately but still get freaked out every once in awhile.
I like the pdx portland airport but the very few other airports I've been to are just ok. I love all the signs in airports. So comforting and reassuring to know where to go it soothes my anxiety so much. But I only fly like never so I don't have to deal with them often
Funny you say this because I’m meeting my sister and BIL in SF and they just got there and told me the extremely confusing method to get to the places where Uber’s / Lyft’s pick you up. They said there is an app but the app said to go to A but when they got to A it said to go back in the airport and walk to B and there were no signs anywhere. Not like Uber/Lyft are new lol
Be careful, if you bring up yard work in the politics thread people will just dunk on you for wasting water and resources on your lawn
Ha yeah I will say last time I flew I forget which airport but I was confused about the lyft/uber location too. I assumed it was like taxi propaganda lol
I just landed and Uber is like “you have one choice, here it is” and Lyft is like, “this is an Easter egg hunt you have six million options all over the airport to choose from” lol
Yeah I grew up in that general region as well where summer is 60+ days straight of 100+ weather and no rain or humidity. I'm in Houston now and it's basically the same except ALL the humidity
It was 99 here in NH today and feeling pretty light headed. Stay hydrated, folks. No idea what the "feels like" temp was today but I wouldn't be surprised if it was 110
Summers definitely get hot and humid, but this year is especially unreal. Definitely unlike anything I've experienced
