I think they're fine. It's the fans that think everything they've done is amazing and beyond criticism that annoy me. Like if you think People is anything more than a generic rock song then lmao

 

Don’t they have a new album coming out Friday or next week? Gonna be pandemonium... wherever their fans gather and such (Twitter? This sites thread?)

I’ll listen to it because it’s a goal to listen to as many 2020 albums as possible and I’ve enjoyed a handful of their songs in the past.

never understand the rabid fandom for them, or just rabid fandom in general for anything (are we calling them “stans” these days after an album 2-decade old song? That’s weird to me lol)

there are rare times where I’ll find myself mentally getting heated if something I really enjoy is getting mocked or something in an article and then I step back and take a deep breath and realize that, yes, people will dislike things I like! And it’s not the end of the world! It’s ok! I’m not 12 anymore and me getting mad about something, especially something like THAT, is a horrid waste of my time and energy lol

 

This one drives me up a wall

 

I feel like internet Stans used to be kinda funny and cute like self aware and mostly ironic or silly but when it's like real serious and weird it's unpleasant. Like... Are u on their payroll??

 

Repeatedly forgetting to clean the melted cheese out of the toaster oven, and everything since has a hint of burnt to hit

 

When the tiny annoying thing really gets under your skin even though it’s tiny.

 

When ppl wear false lashes and the lil inside corner is sticking up. Like I get it. It's a tough spot. But omg. I can't stop staring at that lil spot.

 

When apps make me enter my password instead of using biometrics, and then I end up having to change my password because I don't rememeber that.

 

women who are like tee hee I didn't shave and they're like blonde bishes with no hair CANT RELATE

 

similarly when people are like no filter this is the real me as if it's brave and they're conventionally hot
