Especially when it comes to children by other parents. I know this doesn't pertain to you currently but still
Lol if anything I'm often the annoying person who does give parenting advice but it's my job. So not unsolicited, but they usually don't wanna hear it In general ppl are way too harsh on parents tho. Can never win. I'm new in my office but not in my position so I find I'm having to prove myself a lot whereas I was considered seasoned where I was before. Most ppl here dont realize I have experience and assume im brand new so they keep offering advice on things i know well. I don't wanna be a douche who's like "ACTUALLY I've been doing this for years" so I just smile and die inside and hope my actions will show their advice is generally unnecessary. Unless of course they see me in action and still feel like I need feedback. That is reasonable. But this has been them just assuming I need it without letting me prove myself first. And then of course when I do have a question they don't know the answer lmao
That's fair, I've just experienced the unsolicited parenting advice before and it's very irritating! Yeah starting a new job and being the new person sounds rough, sorry you're having to deal with all that
more work annoyances - when a file takes FOREVER to save, particularly Excel, even though it's not that big of a file and then i sit here for what feels like eternity because the thing i need to work on is ALSO in Excel and i can't open a file while the current one is saving so yeah. luckily, since i work from home 4 days a week, while this 4-hour save bullshit takes place i take out the trash, do some dishes, throw in wash, make a snack, etc. but still - it doesn't need to take that long to save????? what the fuck are you doing Excel??????? and by the time it's done saving i forgot what i was going to work on next lmao
hot all day here but with thunder and nasty skies, then by afternoon you welcome the coming shower rinse and repeat
Sorta related: A few weeks ago, I get a phone call from a contractor on a Thursday morning asking for some info/help shipping some equipment. I get that situation taken care of by midday Friday. Friday afternoon, someone who makes, I don't know, 2.5x what I do sends me an email, in response to an email about that same equipment from that contractor from Wednesday, asking if I can help. Buddy, I'm 2 days ahead of you. Give me your paycheck.
The temper tantrum throwing anti-mask “snowflakes” that feel like they can go without mask in medical facilities where you don’t know how has covid, you can tell they don’t give a shit about anyone but themselves
