I've complained about articles that are just quoting nobodies tweets. Not even verified ppl or other celebs. Just randos. Related to that, I'm also annoyed by articles that say nothing. I just read one about how coachella isn't what it's cracked up to be. It's hot and dusty and the crowds are big and lines are long. Food and parking is expensive. So it's... every concert and festival ever but presented as an inside scoop. There's literally no point to it. It's even more boring than regular "clickbait." It adds no value to this world!!

 

Yeah i was pretty high the other day just thinkin' about how website algorithms that potentiate misinformation or edgy article titles will be a detriment to our society. In an age where information is at our fingertips we chose to reward anything that goes against the grain as opposed to factual info and ease of getting that info.

 

More than a tiny annoyance but intentionally misleading political ads

 

I had this rude and condescending patient today. We get rude patients but he was rude in way where I nearly wanted to tell my co worker I wasnt confortable assisting the doctor with this patient. Not only that but he acted stupid like he didn’t know what the hell I was talking about. Like a lack of common sense way. It’s really hard to describe. He was older maybe in is 60s. Idk why people around that age or people in general think it’s ok to be an ass

 

it's not ok at all but I think a lot of them have dealt with a lot of pain, misery, suffering, loss and many other things, they've also been dealing with people all their life. doesn't make it sting any less, but it's important to try to have empathy for those who don't offer the same in return or just can't.

(this sounds way more preachy than I meant it to and I'm sorry you had to deal with that)

 

I let my bf borrow my car so he took my keys but I think he took his keys too. I was going to go on a jog but the front door locks from the outside so I need keys or I can't lock my door and my complex is secure and I need keys to get into the gate so basically I'm trapped at home and can't go anywhere now cause he doesn't get home until after midnight and he has both sets of keys

I already changed into my workout clothes and amped myself up for a jog!

 

The fact that RRR are throwing temper tantrums like their cult leader. Also when they share cartoons or memes about the left that very easily can go their way as well.

Tik toks that post the same videos over and over/videos with nearly identical content. ie I was browsing this “beauty” tik tok where the girl talked about products such as; “must haves”, “items under x dollars”, etc but will talk about the SAME product. Idk how many times I saw the same body scrubs, moisturizers, body lotions/washes, shaving creams etc mentioned in different videos

 

recently talked a lot of shit about the autocorrect on my phone and I think it's aware because now it's really making me pay for it

 

Didn’t see anything in the Politics thread for this... but has anyone else in CA received their primary election voter registration guide? I started reading the statements of the people running, and boy are some of them comical! The radical right acts so childish. Some of what is said is baffling. It really makes you shake your head in disbelief.

 

You know those people that like to talk a lot but don’t actually know how to have conversations? Like, when you’re talking to them they’re not actually listening, they’re kinda just waiting for their opportunity to say something and then talk for way too long about something that is barely a response to what was said to them? I’ve got two of those people in my office that work near me, they are somehow friends and their conversations are pure chaos

 

When you can't tell if the credit card machine is tap or insert credit card so you look like the world's biggest moron

how many of you have ever purchased something from a website without seeing what it is first? None of you? Exactly. Now imagine that item you’re blindly buying costs between 200-3,500 dollars. Even more enticing to buy without seeing it first right???

this is what I’m now asked to do for our website because our IT render making team can’t fucking draw a straight line without needing 45 people to help out so everything takes the equivalent of cutting a boulder in half with a goddamn spork.

somehow putting our overpriced shit on the website with no pictures will “help bring in sales”.

fuck everything, man.

 

When you order food and receive the wrong thing, but you don’t want to kick up a fuss so you end up eating something you don’t really like/ want.
