Exactly, watching their brains turn is the best. Or like when my niece tries to tell me something she’s excited about for the first time and it’s something I am super passionate about and probably bought for her or made her aware of in the first place and my heart just melts. Now if we’re talking about children being rude and snotty and acting like they know more than you, yeah that’s totally different and qualifies for this.
That’s the absolute best. My cousin’s daughter gives me pages from coloring books when they visit and she’s always so excited to show me what she made me, it makes me so happy. Know it alls are definitely another story.
And to think, I was originally going to say "that high pitched shrill sound children make that is most often associated with joy and excitement" I'm just going to go defrost my heart now.
