The last page made me nervous but I'm not having the same complaints as you guys, this is phenomenal so far. Can't wait to dive into this more in the next few days.
Yeah, I disagree with the negative folks. Think the center of the album (“Save Room For Us” -> “Perfect Crime”) is as good as or better than anything since Aquarius. The first half of “Know Better” is also a beautiful song. I do wish she could find more specificity in her lyrics. And that G-Eazy song is really bad.
lol sorry that wasn't really a demand i am just very enthusiastic about this surprise excellent new tinashe record
I like most of her stuff. But on my first listen, I think this is her best album yet. Feels really focused while keeping her experimental flourishes.
"feelings" seems to open with a brief sample of incubus' "dig" this of course isn't confirmed anywhere except in my ears
This is like the perfect mix of every project she put out. The "Joyride" I wanted to hear three to four years ago. I'm already obsessed with it, and have given it more listens than the actual Joyride lol
I like this. I adored 2 On and parts of the first album, as well as Superlove. I didn't care for Joyride however and unlike most of you I found Nightride boring. I agree with @Petit nain des Îles in as far as that I also think that on this one she finally found a good balance between her different sides. Overall Tinashe for me really fills the Ashanti-shaped void that was left after the collapse or Murder Inc. Not that Ashanti herself can't still deliver, but you know what I mean.
I also figured out what song Remember When reminded me of, and it's this lush jam by the always underrated Mya:
